Pc build question

I recommend trying to get a SSD on top of Hobo's build, you'll notice a difference in pretty much anything you do. I have a 120GB Samsung 840 EVO which I bought for £60, but maybe consider saving up for the 250GB model so you can put some games on it.

My laptop's 750gb HDD only has 50gb of space left on it, I need the 1TB, 250gb won't be nearly enough, I'll fill it in a month xD

Use the 1TB HDD to store anything bulky like movies, FRAPS videos, music, downloads, most games etc, and then use the SSD to store the operating system, most (if not all) of your programs, and some frequently played games.

I would too, problem is that they're expensive unless you get an older one. An i5 will add at least $100 to the build price. The 4690k is really nice but its $130 more than the FX-6300. The 6300 will play most games on high/ultra at 45-60+fps depending on the GPU.

My brother and I both currently have the AMD FX-6300 and have had zero issues with it. It's a great CPU for the price. I'm upgrading to an i7 3770 but only because I got it for $75 
9/10 would buy AMD again

You do realise its possible for the same to happen to Intel CPU's too? My AMD CPU is fine, i use it all the time (when im at home PC is on).

Exactly. Not working good doesn't mean AMD is bad. That CPU was probably bad, it could have also happened to a intel one. I think in terms of cash-performance ratio, AMD is way better since it's cheaper.

Just throwing my 0.02€ at the jar.. AMD CPUs work for gaming decently.. For livestreaming, heavy encoding on the fly.. They are shit. Also the thermal protections and the safety features has always been lacking from the AMD processors. Its like a chernobyl's nuclear reactors.. They work fine at the specific operating range.. When you go outside it.. they go on meltdown. I personally never had AMD CPU that worked flawlessy during my operations (Though that was Athlon/Sempron era) Also in industrial environment AMD lacks what intel has.. reliability and stability

Well I got a used one for $320 that can play bf4 so I'm happy, gonna get a better graphics card/video card next paycheck with a larger required power supply that the guy has.

I have an all AMD build and it's working perfectly fine for me.  I do get graphical glitches in 2 games I have but that's because I'm using the beta driver's and installed hybrid physx.  Intel is not better than AMD, and AMD is not better than Intel.  They both perform better at some applications than others.
