Sorry nate but that's false, america couldn't take on Germany and Japan by themselves, they would of been slaughtered even more.

The US contributed to win WWII together with other Countries, nations, colonies, individuals. In other words. Everyone that participated with the Allies; won WWII. The winning of WWII is not credited to one nation.

^^

Well you see, by my original statement i meant that WITHOUT the United States stepping into world war 2 the world most likely would have been taken over by Nazi Germany. Since at the time of Pearl Harbor and the U.S. entering the war Germany was fighting a war on two fronts: with England and the Soviet Union. Lets start with the western front.

The battle of Britain was no doubt going to be won by the Nazi's if the time ever came for operation Sealion (the large-scale invasion of England). I say this because Germany held nearly EVERY advantage over England. They had a new development called the me-109 and the me-262 which were the world's first Jetfighters. They could out fly any other aircraft the allies had by over 200+ miles per hour (about 350kph for those of you not in the U.S.). They also had better tanks then the British. The panzer mark III and panzer IV and not to mention the King tiger tank. The last but definitely not least is the battle of the atlantic. The wolf packs of U-boats were starving England of supplies and food and sooner or later could have brought here to her knee's on this alone.

Moving to the eastern front (soviet union). In the eastern front the only reason the momemtum shifted from the Axis' favor to the Allies is because Germany had supplies still tied up in france. If Japan did not attack the U.S. at Pearl Harbor the U.S. would not have entered the war (yet). This means that Germany would have held off Operation Barbarossa (invasion of Soviet Union) because hitler and his Generals well knew that they could not fight a 2 front war. They would have held of Operation Barbarossa until they finally starved England enough and went in for the kill.

So therefore England would fall, as well as russia because remember at this time Japan would be dedicating all of their military resources to Invading Russia as well. This means russia would fall, and Japan would be linked with Germany. After that it's simple. The German Wolf Packs (submarine fleets) go to the aid of Japan attacking the United States and using the Divide-and-conquer and island hopping tactic. The German U-boats would aid in sinking the American Fleet and most importantly the American Aircraft carriers.

So there you go. A completely reasonable circumstance of how the Axis powers could take over the world. I guess you could essentially blame Japan for the Axis powers losing, although i'm pretty happy that they lost. I'm sorry wolf but  couldn't let False information roam wild n' free. :3

Well Nate, i dont think you are right. Lets start off.

You are right about the inevitable British defeat if it ever came to operation Sealion. But the thing is, Sealion was not very likely to happen. Why? Because if Germans wanted a massive land invasion, they would need to neutralize the British Royal Navy (which was the strongest in the world at the time, and Hitler knew it was impossible to destroy it completely). But, before they could even try neutralizing the Royal Navy, they had to destroy RAF (Royal Air Force) first. And everything seemed to be in their advantage. More aircraft, superbly trained crew... But, they also had disadvantages, which were bigger than the advantages. The biggest German disadvantage was low effective tactical radius of their fighters (the Messerschmitt BF-109 you mentioned earlier, piston engine powered aircraft, and Messerschmitt BF-110) that were supposed to escort German bombers and protect them on the raids into British territory. German fighters had fuel sufficient for about 10-20 minutes of flight, before they needed to retreat to France and Belgium, often leaving the bombers unprotected, thus making them easy targets for the Spitfires and Hurricanes. One of the Britain's biggest advanatges was probably their advanced radar system, which allowed them to be aware of the incoming German attacks.

When everything is summed up, we come to the conclusion that Luftwaffe wasn't able to defeat RAF, at least not under circumstances at that time (North African Campaign)

Moving on to the Eastern front.

As you probably know, Soviet Union and Japan have a history of small border conflicts that took place between 1932 and 1939. The biggest of those conflicts was the Battle of Khalkhin Gol, that took place in 1939 and resulted in Soviet victory. The direct result of that battle was the Soviet - Japanese neutrality pact, signed in 1941. Japan considered breaking the pact when Germany attacked Soviet Union, but decided not to, largely under the influence of its defeat in the Battle of Khalkhin Gol.

There are a number of reasons for German defeat on the Eastern front. The biggest one would probably be the fact that Germany didnt have a good strategic bomber. They needed a strategic bomber, because Soviets relocated their complete industry to Siberia, where it could operate completely undisturbed. With majority of the factories moved east, and over 10 million people working in them, Soviets had almost unlimited supply of war materiel. Worth stating is that Soviet Union had huge reserves of fuel, and also, most of the Soviet  refineries were out of the German range as well.

The German Blitzkrieg first broke just outside of Moscow, in the winter of 1941. That allowed Soviets to push Germans over 300km back. The second big German defeat happened at Stalingrad, in the end of 1942. From that point, Soviets started pushing Germans to the west, and the push lasted until the end of the war.

So, what i am saying is, that WWII would be much bloodier, and would last longer if the USA didnt intervene. But at the end, Allies would still prevail.
