yw Squirrel.

Personally, I think it'll be kinda neat to see how much I've spent on things like calling for repairs/assistance and maybe the tolls too.

Well, since you all think that knowing those things are not needed at all, perhaps the same should go for knowing how much fines we've racked up or the amount we've spent on gas.  How about how much we've gotten in interest.  I think that was added recently, yet perhaps that really isn't needed either.

Hell, maybe we should remove all the money stats cause are they really needed?  Its only fake play money anyways.

Don't start copying each other's stupid answers and maybe try making some real comments.  Prove why it is or is not needed.  That is the point of suggestions.  This isn't the danm cut and paste or copy each other's response forum.

Quote from: LindseyArmoured convoys can NOT ram thieves to help out friends, Only ram to protect yourself, not your "friends", this is STILL intentional ramming, and not allowed.

Wouldn't this count for those cops escorting armoured cars/convoys, meaning they can't take action against a potential thief?

Quote from: MickRemember that you should obey all Server Rules and driving rules even when you are a cop. The only case when you can ram any player is when player is a suspect. If player refuses to pay ticket, you need to wait for him to become wanted before you try to stop him. You must not drive on train tracks or on the wrong side of the road unless it's necessary to catch a suspect.

Said thief is not a suspect until he actually hijacks the load.  Plus cops might not be able to determine if a thief is driving a car that passes him so to ram what could be an innocent player that just happened to be driving by or near the armoured car/convoy is wrong.  Therefore cops should not ram other players period, potential hijacker or not.

General Talk / Re: New toll booths
July 15, 2012, 23:14
::Off topic::
I do believe that Race got his account disabled and has to post and agree to conditions to get his account enabled again.

::On topic::
If these new toll booths work like they are suppose to, perhaps they can be used to replace the other three toll booths that are in the server.  Now if we can only get them to close right behind vehicles to stop the toll jumpers that skip in behind truckers and busses.

Already suggested and ignored.

I say no.  I use them to troll infernub cops cause all they do is sit around or farm their travelin' man achievement when there isn't a suspect, so I'm giving them a reason to do their job.

  • Added: Option for club staff to respawn (restore) club vehicles parked in the base.

already added in snake, no need for another command if one already exists

Ethan,  I think $nake is asking for an actual command.  I believe that update you mentioned is the club menu command that $nake mentioned in his suggestion.  If I am wrong, please inform $nake (and myself along with all other club staff) of the command that can be used without having to go into the club menu.

Go to the website if you want that information.  Command in-game is not really needed.

I think the biggest reason its overused/crowded is because its right beside a spawn point.  Therefore almost everybody parks there.
#25
It does get annoying, especially when classed as thief cause there can only be so many online at a time (depending on the number of spawned cops).

I've been kicked for just standing there and for running around in place.  This especially happens when the server is full.  I've avoided being kicked if I manage to say something in the chat every few minutes.

At least the new /bailout option helps to avoid long jail sentances that might get you an idle kick.

If /lock kept the vehicle locked after exiting, it could be abused.
If someone carjacks you it's usually your fault. Why would you stop and let them continually try to jack you?

Have you ever thought of some areas where you really can't get away from a carjacker, like waiting for the ferry at LS Island.
#27
This sort of thing might be useful on public vehicles.  Mick's anti-carjacking system doesn't always work (lag, spamming the enter car buttons, etc.).  The ability to lock a public vehicle while driving it might help some people and prevent the odd carjacking that does happen.

I agree that a bigger penalty is needed for those that quit.  With stars limited at 6 and /bailout available, there is no deterrent to quitting for evading the cops.  An additional monetary fine in addition to the jail time might stop a few of them.

Maybe it can be programmed that /bailout is disabled like /breakout when players get jailed shortly after joining the server.  That way players might think twice about quitting on the realization that they might have to actually serve part or all of their jail time.

Its sad to hear that you have stepped down as admin.  You served the Convoy Trucking community well.  You've left some mighty big shoes to fill.

These aren't set in stone.  A possible alternative for rule 2 is that vehicles can only be fined/weighed when the ferry is not at the terminal.  This would ensure that vehicles can get off the ferry without a cop interfering.

Quote from: Joshy on April 21, 2012, 14:11
You're making this too difficult.

Instead of rules, why not have a system that detects if player is on ferry? Then if they get weighed / fined on ferry, it will allow them to /pay and be weighed as usual.

I think the only one that could make this happen is Mick since its his scripts that created and control the ferry.  Not sure if it is possible.
