This is actually not scriptable. Until SA-MP adds a "AttachVehicleToVehicle" native, it can only be accomplished by timers, and then its really buggy.

Why do we need a disclaimer? It says right on the box that it is for Mature audiences only.

I think it's a limit not sure tho but I'll see if I find it.

Pickups    4096 Not sure if that's right or how it works.  EDIT: that's for 0.3d idk about 0.3x if it higher or same.  EDIT 2: mick uses streamer so it might be a limit by streamer or a limit set by mick.

Mick uses a streamer plugin, so there is a (theoretical) unlimited amount of pickups that he can have. Ive had this happen when I was scripting before, and it was when I would put pickups far away from the main island (on custom islands)

Install Gentoo

I believe this is a bug with pickups and distances really far from the map.

I dont know how much time it would take to rescript the vehicle system, but personally i think this minor detail isnt worth the time.
Its fine as it is and besides, since vehicles still are being bought and  will fill player slots, it makes sense to know whos vehicle it is.
I dont see how it could be much more than a 45 second edit.

Maybe 45 secs, maybe more, hence my first sentence
You two have obviously never scripted.

@Konali server crashes are not host's fault. Server uses many plugins, including old version of mysql, which I suspect is the reason for crashes. In peak time there is more queries handled by the said plugin, thus higher chance of crash. I can't update it because it's not supported by gamemode and rescripting parts of gm to work with the new plugin is a lot of work.

Also, regarding commands taking seconds to execute, a lot of commands query the database, thus take longer to execute. This includes commands like /stats, /contacts, /forsale, even /vip and many more. It is normal that these commands take longer to execute, because they send query to the database and wait for response.

I will NEVER trust a program made by someone that got banned.

so what your saying is that if I make a program youll DL it if I give the source? please dont be biased again people who or who have been banned
Ethan, as a friend, I have to say, you are looking at this really closed-minded.

I, for one, tread really lightly on which closed-source programs I download. Typically, they are only from reputable companies with large user-bases. Now, when you have someone releasing a program that he made on his own, without a userbase, and without a reputation, I will ALWAYS use caution.

Releasing source code is NOT a bad thing. Quite the contrary, it actually tends to make software better. People can look at the source code (of anything that is open source, not just this in paticular) and learn from it. Open source serves a dual purpose.

Now, to get to this instance. I, for one, will NOT be downloading this without first seeing the source code. It's not a matter of not trusting Epix, its a matter of protecting MY computer and MY personal information. Also, the quotes from Joshy prove an excellent point, that if software is released to the CVT forums, it should contain the source, as if it doesn't, how are we to know if the program is malicious or not.

I'm going to chime in here, and I'm going to attempt to remove my bias (since my ping is fucking awesome because of my short distance from the server (100mi/160km))

The Arizona server has seemed to work well for CVT. It has DDoS protection, which is what CVT needs right now. Now, when the server was hosted in France/UK, I consistently had 150-250 ping. But that is not what matters, this isn't a DM server. What we care about is packtloss.

Now think of the connection that the server has to the rest of the internet as a hose, and that hose has a specific thickness. Now, think of a packet as a water drop. That is how the internet works. A DDoS is when someone takes a fucking bucket and pours it into the hose, restricting our little streams of water that contact the server. Our streams together don't make a difference overall, but when someone puts a shitton of water into the hose, our streams can't make it there, and we have packetloss (and subsequently, timeout). Now, imagine DDoS protection as some really big black dude that can see that a guy with a bucket is coming, and that he is going to pour it into our hose. Well, Mr. Black Dude came prepared, and spliced a second hose into ours, and can direct the flood of water away. Once he learns when this guy likes to come, and where from, he can stop the guy from even pouring (at least in a crude sense. A server firewall blocks the malicious connections). Now, if we move the server back to Europe, the black guy doesn't come with, and we are back to square one.

I hope my explanation was clear enough (as well as amusing). Can we just stop the bitchfest about the new server location and just relish in the fact that we can actually play the damn game now?
