What the hell is this?

The "new skybox" in 1.18+ causes terrible FPS lag, and the graphics don't even look as good as I would expect from a game that lags as much as this does on LOW graphics...

Is there some black magic at work here? This is just appalling.

Does anyone know how I can fix it or how I can downgrade the steam version back to 1.17(or at least lose the shitty skybox)? Thanks

steam > ets2 > properties > updates > steam beta, choose 1.17.

I had to lower the graphics, they screw it with the new skybox, it somehow makes you loose fps and doesn't look half even good
