Here's some pictures of our newest folkrace car in the team, I have talked about it before but never posted any pics of it, my dad raced it for first time this weekend in asfalttikunkku 2014, he came 17th in EVK class and 31st in Yleinen class (of 975 cars) so it has very good handlings on a tarmac track he told me, we were there with 4 cars and came home with 3 + scrapped one :P my sister crashed her Sunbeam IMP because she hitted a car in the first corner so the pedal got stucked on maximum gas so she went straight into a wall but she is okay and didn't complain about any pain, there are two videos of the crash on youtube, one from outside and one from in-car. My dad raced with our old team colours but rest of our cars had the new livery.

The car is a 70's Mercury Comet Coupe with Nissan engine on 203hp.

Can I ask you,how much money you invested in this Mercury?

I've told you that I want to start a nice project and this Mercury looks bad ass.

Thanks, my family has spent around 2500€ for it, we got the car body for free since it has been inside a barn for 13 years and the owner wanted to give it away because he said it will be awesome to see it on the tracks.

I also like these types of cars. But here in Brazil, I prefer the VW Square.
AP 1.8 engines, aspirated and turbocharged. 2kg pressure.

I love all the antique car VW Passat, Voyage, Saveiro, Gol ...

This should be restored, not raced...

It takes time to find parts & stuff to it so it's cheaper for us to race with it :P

Quote from: Wikipedia
Because old road cars are used up in folkrace, retro and antique car enthusiasts talk about "the folkrace death": Folkracing does away with many cars that are too old to be considered usable for everyday driving but too new to have reached the status of a "veteran" or "antique".
