Both. I got 3 cracked W7U left in the household out of like 25 those are VMs most of them though running under a linux based host.
But yeah, W7 mainly for those who havent figured out linux yet (Wife, son and 1 for me that will run programs that isnt supported yet on linux)

I go with the ultimate to have all features with least hardware limitations set by a microsoft.. Ultimate supporting to like 192GB of ram. and multiple processors. knowing i probably never would be running dual CPUS or over 192GB of ram but still. I like to have them all.
