1. You need a router to open your ports in order to allow external connections  into your network.
2. You cant make your IP static, you have to pay your ISP to get a static ip and it is not cheaper.
3. Go to forum.sa-mp.com this is not a scripting forum.

When i play with friends, i always use Hamachi

Ethan

alot of times (like in my case) the ISP itself blocks the ports that you "port forward" in able to host a server or LAN party or anything like that... you would need to contact your ISP in order to know whether or not you have access to have people join your router (or whatever) to host a server (or have a LAN party, thats what else you can do with port forwarding)

[offtopic] You got banned, so now you want to start your own server? just wow man...[/offtopic]

If you cant port foward by follwing the instructions on the samp forums you will need to contact your isp. As for Hamachi: Your Member limit with the Free software is 16. The paid version of Hamachi2 provides 256 members, as well as allowing access to the High-Bandwidth Relays in the case that a peer-to-peer connection cannot be established. Paid Commercial users also gain access to Hamachi2 phone support.

[hide=why ELM is not allowed here]It is not allowed as it is a mod that can be seen by other truckers, who might not want to look at flashing lights all the time. This is why only non laggy mods that only you can see are allowed.[/hide]

When your ISP block your ports you are able to unlock them using a router.
My ISP blocked all my ports and i unlock the ones i want using a router. If you want to know it its D-Link Dir-600

This is how it works:

The red wire is your internet connection, the cable that comes from your ISP  and you plug into the modem.
The blue wire is an RJ45 wire you need to connect from your Modem to your router.
The green wire is another RJ45 wire you need to connect to your PC.
Then you go to http://192.168.0.1 , usually you use that adress to all routers, someones needs another IP.
You go to the port forwarding section and select the ports you want to open and IP of PC where the ports will be unlocked.

Ethan

I have port forwarded all the needed ports and the port checker thing on the internet says they are closed.. MTA server says they are closed.. im pretty sure my ISP is blocking them and I am using a linksys..

Dumb question:

You set your IP to static? If you did, make sure you're forwarding the ports to the right Private IP.

Oh yes, you have to make your private IP static, i mean make it be locked to your mac address so you dont need to do port forwarding everyday xD
