Yesterday while doing nothing my attention fallen on the word "dick".
For what I know, dick means penis, pubes, cock, male genitals...

On the other hand I know it is an american name of person, I heard about people called "Dick" also I watched a film with Jim Carrey called "Fun with Dick and Jane", very funny

So, if it's another name for penis, why some people are called so? People who are called "Dick" should feel bad about their name. I don't understand this. It will nice if some american or english can explain me how exactly this word is used
