Hello there, my laptop keeps disconnecting from WiFi and I don't know why. My phone is still connected and nothing is wrong with it while my laptop is like wtf, it takes like 2,3 minutes to reconnect back (it disconnects at about every 10-15 minutes each time and sometimes it is ok for a whole day then again problem is back) and same thing is happenning to my sister's laptop too.
help help  :-\

Do you need to fill in a password everytime to connect to it? Check and see if you have an option to "automatically connect when this network/connection is within range" or something like that. That way it automatically connects.. otherwise I'm not good with networks, just going on my own experience.

Laur

After it disconnects it is like that

then i just need to click connect and wait 2,3 minutes and it connects

and then everything is ok until it goes down again, its so annoying

I have had a problem like this on my old laptop, do you have a virtual network adapter between your network adapter things?
Because that was the problem at my laptop but I don't know if you got the same thing. :P

How far away are you from the router? Do you have wireless settings built into the laptop?

Router heat? Router uptime? does it have actual antennas on the router or some built in crap inside the box?. If it has antennas sticking out.. you can do the beercan reflector on it and point it towards your laptop.. That should help bit to direct the radiowaves to your direction.

Honestly.. if your router doesnt have even proper antennas.. Its an cheap primitive one given by your ISP and it should be thrown out the window and get an actual router that is meant for wireless load.

Heat is a factor in routers.. The larger load it has.. more heat it obviously puts out, only professional routers even have active cooling in them. the ISP's passively cooled plastic pizza heaters almost always lose performance because of the insanely hot ambient temperature. Also the transmitters wear quicker due to the heat. also the firmware may start to hang because of heat.

Not sure if this is going to work or not but it should work, you can give this a try

Go to your wireless connection, and see its properties.
Click on configure.

Then click on power management.
Then make sure that this option is unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

SpazzBucket.

My laptop does this too, I just kinda learned to deal with it, it never detected the ethernet when I plugged it in either, the thing takes forever to start up too, no idea why, when or how it started lol

It doesn't matter how much people are online it's about how much fun you have.
