Just a simple tool which converts snapmatic photos to jpg files.

How it works:

snapmatic files can be found here:
"C:\Users\<Your username>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\<8-character string>\"

the photo files name are: PGTA<9-digit number>

Drop those files into this app and this tool will create their jpg version. (not overwriting originals)

Why jpeg? It creates lossy images.

Best example.

Use PNG perhaps?

Because those files are jpegs. This tool literally just removes 292 bytes from the beginning of the file (the custom file header what rockstar added to it) and then saves the file with .jpg extension. The original files are even contains "jpeg" in it if you view it with a hex editor.
