Alright guys, so my mom wants to buy my sister a laptop for christmas but she has no clue what to get and I'm not knowledgeable enough to find one myself xD

She wants a prebuilt one (yea I know its more expensive but she wants easy, money is not a problem) something around $1000 CAD, that can play games like minecraft and such smoothly, homework, simple but decent. and I would need to be able to buy it in town, not enough time to order online so I'd have to take the pcs you suggest and see if they're available in town

Go to your local bestbuy or whatever you guys have in Canada and then choose one with 4~8gb ram, decent video card and wollah

What Shane said. I'm sure there's a Best Buy or equivalent store around that has them. Bring your phone with you so you can look up the parts of the laptop to see how good they are. Don't trust the employees unless they actually sound like they know what they're talking about.
