Since we can change replys on topics, why cant we chance our lines in the shoutbox


so yeah that's my suggestion, addition of editing your lines in the shoutbox too

It would be easy to do, just matching the userid to the poster to make sure users can only edit there own posts and appending an edit hyperlink to the side of each post made the a user. You could use the page staff uses to edit by adding another if statement.

• would require a significant change in codebase for shoutbox
• probably would lead to people abusing the functionality to avoid punishment
• shoutbox is considered similar to in-game chat system where once it's said, it cannot be modified

rejected.
