Hi.
I want to buy Windows 8 for my school laptop, but i got some questions.

1. What is the difference about 7 and 8?

2. If i buy it will i regret?

3. if i buy and install it, will i loose all my other programs and files?

4. If you got this self, pleas tell me here what you think about it.

Tyler

In the menu, there's something called desktop. Open it, it's kinda like window's 7. That's what I am using.

There is no start menu either..

1. Start menu is different, but desktop is still the same you have at windows 7. Its made specially for touch screen computers.
2. Maybe if you find it useless you will regret.
3. Probably yes, windows 8 is built from scratch and needs Windows 8 programs, some programs of old windows still work.
4. I had it and i liked but its not useful yet, it have alot of applications that are useful only if you use a touchscreen computer.

did the school give it to you and they own it?? if they do you might have to have their permission to upgrade it

I DONT! want to hear any GAY comments, maby you don't like Windows 8 or havent tryed it, but the SHUT UP!

I am only asking if it will make my pc faster to use?

Matias

Hell no it will not make your PC faster, you will need more requirements to meet to use windows 8. Btw if your windows 7 is slow then windows 8 will be more slow.

Minimum hardware requirements for Windows 8
Architecture: IA-32 (32-bit)   x86-64 (64-bit)
Processor: 1 GHz (with PAE, NX and SSE2 support)
Memory (RAM): 1 GB (32-bit)    2 GB(64-bit)
Graphics Card: DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
Storage: 16 GB (32-bit)   20 GB(64-bit)

Win 8 its not for pc's, win 8 was made for tablets and smartphones, because allot of games dont run on it, if you want to upgrade  dont do it, win 8 in pc is a fail, keep the win 7, its the best, or xp in a old pc.

It doesn't matter how much people are online it's about how much fun you have.
