Escorts

I vote that cops escorting securicars should be against the rules. Cause of the following reasons:
- They open the tolls for the convoy or person they are escorting making the server lose money and all of those in convoy are breaking rules there (aka toll skipping),
- As soon as they someone being jacked they straight away wait until thief is wanted and arrest straight away.
- If you try to ram one of the vans a majority of the time the cop will ram you back and block you.

These points above are making it more difficult for the thief to make even a attempt at hijacking a person.
For people who say this is what happens in real life. Wrong they have utes or crap 4wd's driven by a person in the same company as the securivan and then if the situation arises the cops will be alerted and the securicars have a gps locator in them that can't be disabled.

You got your money for arrest, and he's out so you can arrest him again. You mad?

Can of worms opened here.

To point one.  They open Tolls.  OMG, I see hundreds of truckers in convoy open tolls and let the convoys through every day.  AND on occasion, I will do it as a favor to a trucker that I just cited or weighed.  They never come forward and say, "No, No.  Let me pay that toll so the server gets money."  WHAT?  The server?  The server can GIVE itself BILLIONS if it wants.  My head is still spinning on that one.  Gotta rest a second. . . . . . .

OK . . .  Point Two.  You need to pick your targets more carefully.  Do you think robbers will attack protected vehicles in RL or go for the lone wolf?  Get real.

And point three.  If a cop deliberately rams you when your not wanted, "REPORT HIM"!  But blocking you from ramming a Securicar is well within their rights.  In as much as they can't do crap otherwise.

You said "These points above are making it more difficult for the thief to make even a attempt to hijacking a person."  How about this.  You drive up to a Securicar and the driver just gets out and lets you take it.  Or better, how about when you logon, the server just gives you points toward your achievement.  Why one earth should you need to use your head and work for it.

Your comment on "For people who say this is what happens in real life." comment is the only one you got right, but for the wrong reason.  In real life, cops are allowed to actively defend armored cars, and have their own escorts that can defend them, not just sit there and watch some bonehead ram them into oblivion while the cop sits and watches.  And Armored cars take LOTS of other precautions, most of which they tend not to publicize, to protect their cargo.

However, you are well within your rights to vote for what you want.  As am I.  And I vote "NO".

Maybe the rule could be that they can 'escort' but would need to stay behind the player who is completing the mission.

  • Cops are allowed to escort armored van driver(s). As quoted from Mick: "If thieves can camp, let money transport be escorted. This should deter thieves."
  • Cops however are not allowed to ram or block thieves until they are wanted. You must wait until a thief becomes wanted before ramming or blocking the thief, otherwise your badge will be revoked due to violation of the cop rules.

Couldnt have been explained any better.. But in my opinion the reason for cops is to stop theifs, so why complain about them finding a sneaky way to catch you easy  :D

The_Spinner

+1, but only if it will be an rule against load/unload point camping by thieves

Atomic Monkey

-1

* I don't open tolls or abuse it
*Yes, I wait until there wanted, that's my job.. I'm not going to just let them get away (Even with my connection it's impossible for me to catch criminals sometimes)
* Again I wait for the idiot to try to steal the van infront of me instead of just going to another target, it's there fault there not paying attention to me sitting there defending federal money.

You got mick's quote

In my opinion this is the best way, we can solve those problem in: robber can't camp (maybe with instant unload to avoid transgressor) and escort not allowed...

This exactly

$nake

so let's eliminate escorts and camping thieves :)

[TLC]Titanio

We can make:

-Escort not allowed
-Robber can't camp
-Istant Load/Unload
