Why might? Because that rear section of the trailer is hydraulically steered. So I don't think it will actually be a secondary pivot point, that section will simply be controlled by the steering of the truck, just like the wheels of the trailer in this video

xD, I know the feeling. It's Photoshop actually. However, I've been experimenting lately with graphics mods, reshades, nvidia inspector and so on because it's quite frustrating spending a craptone of money on a new PC and have like 30-35FPS in cities. I'm just trying to get rid of the jagged lines and gain some FPS. If anyone is interested in that, I'll make a topic with how to tweak ETS.

Get the cracked exe, aka the hoodlum one. Also, make sure you have silent's asi loader or simply install CLEO which comes with it.
I'd encourage you to keep on using 53ft trailers cuz once you get used to them, you'll never want to stop using them. I remember using a 53ft trailer for the very first time, it felt like I was pulling a train xD
