Ken Block's Gymkhana; Ultimate Playground; l'Autodrome, France

Shot just south of Paris, France in Linas at l'Autodrome de Linas --Montlhéry, this 1.58 mile oval track, built in 1924, features banks as steep as 51 degrees, which is more than double the standard incline of most NASCAR ovals. Chosen by Ken for this specific reason, the ramp-like banking proved to be a unique and exciting challenge. The driving physics for the stunts performed were totally unknown until Ken attempted the maneuvers during filming.

[Cars you can not use:]

Fuel up those cars boys and girls, it's time for a race!

Track is fairly easy, directions:

• Starting line will be at Verdant Meadows, I'll show you where to line up
• Race past Bayside, down to San Fierro then head to Angel Pine
• Once you get around to Angel Pine keep going till you get to LS and head for Los Santos Dock. First one there wins!

Cars you can not use:

• Infernus
• Hotring
• Any Aircraft
• Any Watercraft

Rules:

• Do not respawn if you blow up your vehicle as you will be out of the race.
• Try not to ram people, although you probably will run into each other through the narrow courses
• Take any route you can to get to the destination. Take shortcuts if you can but you must go around Angel Pine and Whetstone Gas Station. Someone will likely be there watching to make sure you did this.

This could be just personal preference but it might help cops too. It would be a similar command to /loc but it would give the person you /target a red, pink or cyan type icon color. Since they're always moving, typing /loc sometimes causes accidents cause you're not paying attention to the screen when you're looking at the keyboard

Wish you guys all a safe and Happy Halloween! We're just decorating the house right now to give goodies out to trick or treaters!

With dinghys and mtbikes, /x, /GL (/gl) could be for givelead. I can forsee the tag event becoming more and more popular and typing /givelead takes a bit of time, especially if you're like me and using a chicken to peck at your keyboard.

Also, what about adding /tag. This would be a command like /loc except it makes the person you /tag a red marker like the leader in a convoy so they're easier to find instead of looking for the area they're in, like a gps!

There's a plugin for samp that you can listen to online radio stations, some servers have it I think.

Is there a way for us to get this? As far as I know, mick would have to install the audio plugin for it to work. We could have our own radio station! I checked on Shoutcast, and you can set up a station there for free apparently, and as for the broadcaster, I have it and could hand it out to DJ's. There would have to be a schedule and this would be great for San News to use. It would help with in game events and such as long as people don't abuse it and act professional which is why San News would do the broadcasting only.

Example:

The tag tournament will end when it ends as no set time will be made. This is an event, although there is no prize money and everyone can participate and it can last all day!

I got bored, so I decided to try something new. Nickdodd, Deputy (and his wife), Tobster and I joined in a game of tag around Hunter Quarry! A variety of vehicles was used but we figure to make an event out of this would require some rules.

What you will need: A couple fuelcans at least
What vehicles you can not use: Monster, vortex, anything that flys lol, mt bikes, motorcycles of anykind, combine, go-kart, quads, and Baggage.

The person nominated "It" will start in the middle of the ring. Everyone will grab their spots. Now if we can do this right, the person it will be joined in convoy by everyone participating. When they "Tag" a person they will "/givelead" that person tagged. That person tagged can not tag the person who tagged them for at least 30 seconds. It will be up to the person tagged to do the give lead when they tag and they will have to be honest as sometimes the person it may not have known they were tagged or hit by the other car as lag will create confusion.

This event is made to be fun. As Ramming will be how to tag (It will help you get ramming out of your system too) reports for ramming inside the quarry during the event should not be made and admins should know this event is going on. If you don't want to be rammed, don't enter the quarry as this will be a no-zone for the time being. Most people don't enter this quarry in the first place so there should be no problems.

If you need to refuel, make sure you are not it and let people know you are leaving the quarry for whatever reason. Do not leave the convoy unless you are going to do missions. The convoy will have a password which will be "Halloween" Any other questions ask here.

[Saturday Marathon!]

Saturday Marathon!

This marathon will also be open for everyone. So here's how it will go!

• Racers start at San Fierro Island
• You will swim to the shores of San Fierro
• When you get to the shore, run to the end of the San Fierro Airport Runway
• Jump in the water and grab a dinghy and take it to HappyLand.
• When you get to HappyLand shore, jump on a bike and get to Wet County Expressway Gas Station. First one there wins!

[Friday Marathon!]

Friday Marathon!

This marathon will be open for everyone, we all might as well have fun at CVT Halloween weekend! So here's how it will go!

• Racers start at Las Venturas Island
• You will swim to Happyland, watch out for scary Jellyfish, sharks and turtles!
• When you hit Happyland, jump on a bike and go to Wet County Expressway Gas Station
• When you get to the gas station, jump over the ledge and into the water, get a dinghy and race to Bayside. First one to Bayside wins!

I hope this comes out before I die lol

I bet some of you thought this wasn't going to be an event, but it actually is, well more of a contest I should say. $100,000 in-game to the first person that gets captures the following.

You be the only registered person, aside from guests, to be viewing the forum! Here's an example:

I would think this be hard to do due to the popularity of CVT, at least I would think. I caught the pic here by luck and when I refreshed it, others were online. So get to it! Take a screenshot that includes the details like mine, Date and Time and don't modify the picture either.

I would like to request a date command, similar to time, why? Because it will help with events, and I have some ideas for an event but hard to do without people using old photos. This could help with Joshy's challenges too. This could be in preferences and possibly shown before the actual place of the time display. Perhaps keep it simple and short, like DD/MM/YEAR.

[Universal Trucking]

Universal Trucking (formerly known as Millionaires Inc) is holding a "Tow Truck Rally!" Sounds interesting enough, but what does that mean?

Well, it's a rally race, cross country, no holds barred! Of course there are rules to every event. Remember though, these events are members only, if you want to participate you better join up¹.

What you need:

• A tow truck (there are free ones all over or borrow a friends)
• A vehicle attached to the tow truck (any vehicle will do)
• Be a member of Universal Trucking

How the race will work:

• You will start at Whetstone Quarry (Joining the leader will help you find it)
• Racers will proceed as fast as they can to Wet County Airport
• First one past the gates wins!

Rules? Only one Rule. Make sure you have your original vehicle attached when you get to the finish line. We will be taking note of the vehicle you have attached to your truck before the race begins.


Prizes:
First Place - $100,000
Second Place - $75,000
Third Place - $25,000

What you will need:

You must be in Convoy (Which will be given before the race)

(There may be fourth place if more then 15 people show up)

How the race will go:



1. The race will start on top of the tallest building in Los Santos. You'll need a ride to get there. (There will be staff to fly you there if needed)
2. You will jump off the building after the countdown. This will also help us determine who's in the race.
3. When you hit the ground you'll jump on a bike and race to the house in Happyland. You'll need to pass through the house gates (Probably jump it if you can to save time).
4. You'll then jump into the water and, if you have a dinghy, and race back to the convoy leader, in which you will need to find the leader* on the map.

*The convoy leader could be anywhere by this time, so if you're constantly looking for him/her while you're racing, you'll probably lose speed. The leader could be on land or water by the time you reach Happyland so make sure you don't lose your bike or dinghy. The convoy leader will not move either from their position by the time the first racer makes it to Happyland.

Staff will be watching your every move, so don't try cheat and don't respawn near the leader as one or two staff will be following the leader at all times by air to prevent cheating. No complaining cause you got run over either by some noob as you know this race will be hazardous. Date has been extended +3 hours from original time of 7PM GMT, now it 10PM GMT. Current time now displayed.

Ok, now I got your attention, this topic might be moved and it might not, that's up to the admins.

There are Veteran players in this game with a lot of cash, and nothing to spend it on. I'm not super rich like them and was donated some money too but I'm not holding this money like some pack rat, I'm giving back, to everyone.

So what are you doing with it? You don't have to say in here, that's up to you, but ask yourself "What am I doing with all this money?" or "When I get 50m what's next? Do I quit CVT and donate it to some club that doesn't do anything?" or even "I've got so much, how can I use this to make other people happy" You've either been given what you have, or worked for it and now you have everything, so what do you do now? What could this money be used for?

[24 hours]

Hey guys, how would you feel about a Cop vs Theif day? This could be fun, and messy! Considering there are usually a lot of cops on, there should be a lot of thieves on! This could be a weekly, or monthly event! Would also help people get their achievements faster as well and give those police a run for their money!

The event will last 24 hours! When the event starts you have 24 hours to complete it. This is the list of 15 vehicles to steal:

Rules:
- Sign your name here in order to be registered for this event
- You have to be a cop as well during the event to give others a chance (I can't be on 24-7 so will need you guys to help watch people that aren't being cops)
- Take screenshots of the car being successfully stolen (How you do this is up to you, perhaps taking the screens just before you pull into the unload point so it shows what car you're driving)
- Only post the screenshot list if you've successfully completed the event

Prize: Everyone that successfully completes the list will get $100,000!
