More... I mean it's funny, but it's proof as well, that's a lot of effort to bring those trucks in that 'revenge' attempt.

After reporting I went back in-game and found this. Cop car was damaged already but that truck suggests an attempt at revenge (the only other player online is Pantera and you all know him so..). Goes to show the player exhibits an aggressive attitude and makes for a non-pleasant gaming experience.

Player reported:

Rule broken: insulting / disrespect / threats
Date and time: Dec 9th 2021 around 4PM GMT+2

Proof:
I am a guy who respects everybody by default. And when I get insulted and don't react right away, but this is three times he's called me a noob, even after I politely advised him to stop. I'm not morally 'damaged' by the actions of a toddler but he forced my hand so below are the pictures:

I was finally able to buy a 3 slot, after almost an year of waiting for one and several hours of 'camping' in the area today, and this is while another unlucky player could have bought it before me but got arrested. To that I say it's not my fault, I was very fast myself, and whatever the reason for his wanted level, I seemed to have the advantage of not being wanted. Yey me :D

However, the system does have this flaw, that it needs a queuing system for buying a house. Many houses are bought by a lot of players that have been waiting for it far less then those who can't seem to catch one.

Another 3 slot is available and I have no way of buying it. More than 10 other people are waiting to move in to buy it, and I'm sure only one or two of them have waited more than me, the rest just got the money recently. Please do something about it.

QuoteDisadvantages

>Due to Server demands on houses the Ques will be quite long

> You may not have the cash when you reach the front but did have when you first signed up

I would like to refute both this disadvantages.

1. The length of the queue is irrelevant, the queue's existence itself assures the buyers with waiting a fair amount of time for the house. If anything, the longer the queue, the more buyers will find justice in waiting.
2. If you don't have the cash, you loose your spot in the queue and the next player can buy it. And since the time allocated to the player to buy the house is 1 day, if he doesn't have the money, the next in line will buy it the very next day, which is not long to wait at all, compared to the amount you wait for a house to become available.

I thank everyone for their support in this idea, and ask apologies to the scripter for the work needed to install this.

I searched for this kind of topic and didn't find anything. I hope I'm not repeating this idea, if so, please direct me to the available information.

If not, I'm strongly and most urgently suggesting that a proper queue is needed for buying a house.
This might work on the forum: you can sign on to the desired number of slots, stand in 'line', and after the people who signed before you got to buy one, you're up, and you have a day to buy it after it becomes available. If you don't like that particular house, you can skip it and the next in queue will get to buy it.

I find this extreemely needed. I myself have been waiting for a 2-3 slot for a few months now, and this house crisis is really annoying, but I am willing to wait. It's not fair that while I'm waiting, a house may become available and some other guy who has waited less than me buys it because he gets to it first from the moment it becomes available, or simply because I'm not online to 'race' for it. Btw, this 'race' is not fair either, because players are not the same distance from it when it happenes.

I hope you will consider this, it will prove to be quite useful.
I had a 3 slot house, before this house crisis began, which I lost due to inactivity for 3 months, or something like that. Now I can't seem to get a hold of even a 2 slot one, and they keep appearing and everybody gets them except me, even though I'm waiting months on end.

Thank you.

Locked & Closed Suggestions / Re: Infernus Cops
November 13, 2011, 08:36
Didn't read all the replies, but as my motto says, here it is:

Unless all the suspects drive cars below 200 kph, cops should use all the vehicles available to them that can help them catch up to suspects.

You're probably too unskilled to be able to get away from police and try to propose a rule that would help you in that way, but get over it, or don't get wanted.

I guess that would be a compromise. I was not summarizing, I was suggesting to make things back the way they were, but keeping the house off the grid until it becomes available could work just in the same way, but it only makes me wonder this: if it would stay off the radar the whole day, why keep this system? why does a house have to stay 24 hours before it can be bought? even though no-one would know it?

The best way to resolve this is to make house-buying back the way it was and to compare situations:

- OLD way:
Random guy raises money, dreams of 5 slot house.
5 slot house is sold, Random guy doesn't have enough money, let's it pass, house is bought by someone else.
Random guy raises all the money and waits for another 5 slot to become available.
When it does, sells old house races to the house and buys it, victory! (other random guys with all the money should have made it first to the house).

- NEW way:

Random guy raises money, dreams of 5 slot house, random guy has all the money.
5 slot is sold, Random guy cannot buy it for 24 hours (if I remember correctly).
24 hours gives time to a horde of random guys to raise the money by their particular means (borrow, sell stuff, etc.)
When house becomes available, random guy and the horde sell their house and race off to buy the new one.
In anticipation of this, some sell the house in advance, so when it becomes available, all they have to do is buy it.
Other random guys think the same. In anticipation, each one chooses to stick close to the house, to make it before the others, so naturally they start camping, not willing to allow anyone to get it before them.

So, the new way is bad because it allows anticipation of the moment the house becomes available, so more get the money, more get prepared for the moment, more know what they're up against and try to anticipate everything, so in the end, the house is bought by a lucky motherfucker, who probably had no clue about what was going on and just proceeded like in the OLD way.
In comparison, the old way doesn't allow anticipation, the moment the house becomes available, 'there's not time to evaluate the opposition and take measures, so the number of random guys who would have all the money at that moment will be far less, and IF there would even be more then 1, the fastest should get the house. Thus, no camping, no issues, no complaints about fairness.

I didn't read all the replies, but it's a Hell NO from me, I for one get 10k fines in a single job, I get fined usually around 15-20k, this idea would be valid perhaps only starting from 50k.

I'm suggesting adding a few rules about the ferry:

- stand behind the yellow lines at the queue (not with the nose on the edge)
- no moving whatsoever on the ferry while it's moving (except for the occasional break to counteract the natural forward movement of the trucks sitting on it)
- no cutting in front at the queue
- no exiting/pausing/using escape while on the ferry
- no blocking the roads while queuing (applies to LSIsland)
- no cutting in front of players while exiting the ferry (unless they are idle)

and - most importantly!!!!! -

PLAYERS QUEUING FOR THE FERRY MUST ALLOW PASSENGERS TO EXIT BEFORE GETTING ON IT (the bus rule)

And of course, as it is with any rule, appropriate punishments must be applied in case of breaking them. I for one am tired of anticipating mayhem whenever I know I have to take the ferry, or try to shove my way out of it when it reaches the land because a horde of noobs are storming the ferry from the second it stops, sometimes causing some players to miss the ride or even worse, fall between the ferry and the land, when it takes off.

I think we all need a little order, with these rules respected, a greater number of trucks can be handled with the ferry with no accidents and no one left behind.

sometimes I forget how young people are here, seems like my efforts to treat everyone as if there's no age difference is in vain, I might as well try to teach a monkey how to drive a truck in CVT

(f.y.i. that's disrespect)

I'm glad you shut my damn mouth with the realise/realize dispute, but to get back to the topic, CC is an abuse for water vehicles on land, but Vortex is a both water and land vehicle, so when driving on land it becomes a land vehicle, and using CC is not an abuse... so driving on the water, it becomes a boat, and CC would also not be an abuse, because as soon as I get on land, it becomes a land vehicle again so again, no abuse.

And besides, no-one was complaining about the vortex's CC abuse when it was enabled, but now suddenly it would be inappropriate to have it? When mick disabled CC on boats, it was probably because some people drove boats on land using CC, but Vortex, (in the substructure of the game, in which I am no expert), is probably classified as a BOAT, and so CC was removed from it too, hence my actual appeal to mick, to restore it only to the Vortex.

I have observed very little activity from mick on this server/forum and so yes, I believe he didn't get a chance to read my topic. And before you tell me to fuck off because I don't realize simple sentences, you should learn how to spell "don't". and "realize".
