Although Rockstar take great pride in giving PC gamers the jitters with every new installment of GTA by being secretive, it can be confirmed now that GTA V will definitely be going to PC. Amazon france has made GTA V PC available for preorder for 50 euros:

Recently a bunch of us started playing the popular tank mmo WoT. I discovered this when it was first released a few years ago, so im much farther along than alot of you (tier 6/7) which means that I can help you get started/answer question/etc.

I don't know if you guys check the WoT website, but they have monthly events where you get together a team of (7?) people and you play in a tournament for in-game prizes. Post your ingame names here!

I was walking down the street today and saw this little guy laying on his back in the middle of the road, they're the 2nd most common type of turtle (eastern painted) as pets because of their friendly nature 

I have a small pond in my backyard that I let him swim around in, and he's surprisingly fast both swimming and on land, so I named him Neymar. I put him in the largest box I could find until tomorrow when I will go buy a nice turtle tank for him

Please, for those of you who like PC gaming like it always used to be, stop torrenting PC games. It ruins the profit margins of companies, and while they are making a ton of money on console sales, they don't make nearly as much with PC and because of this alot of developers are simply skipping over PC because if it's not going to be profitable, why bother? These people spend years at a time putting these games together and you need to show support for a game that you enjoy playing by buying a legitimate copy.

Now, I myself will admit to downloading a game or two from torrents, but that's simply because I wasn't sure if I would like it, and didn't want to waste $60 if I ended up hating it. However, I would then uninstall the torrent and buy a real copy, which many people do not do.

Stop torrenting PC games, save PC gaming.

I have a suggestion to incorporate forum "rep" onto the CT forum. The reason i see this as necessary is because when someone posts something good and you agree, the common thing to do now is to quote it, and the next person to quote you quoting the original author ,etc.

Anyway it could come in handy in really any one of the boards on here. If someone posts an interesting news article in the Off-Topic section you could say "hey that's interesting! thanks for posting" simply by clicking a thumbs up. Or, in the suggestions forum it can be used to neatly organize a vote count on every suggestion. The list goes on and on, mod showroom, etc.

The second part of the system besides having a thumbs up or thumbs down would be to have a "rep" counter for all the members under their avatar and personal text.

I've seen this on other forums and it's worked quite nicely.

I was thinking about this one day and thought i would share it here for you guys to discuss.

How do you think a football (soccer for people in U.S.) between North/South America Combined vs. Europe would turn out? I personally think it would be pretty evenly matched considering There are people in Argentina like Aguero and Messi, Brazil having MANY, many players like neymar, maicon, etc. Columbia also has valencia and Falcao.

On the other hand, Europe would have just as much talent if not more with Joe Hart, van Persie, Rooney, Pirlo, Ibrahimovic, gerrard, Klose, Xavi, Muller, Schweinsteiger, Skelenberg, Ronaldo, etc.

My asus laptop that i purchased in april of this year has failed me last week, which is why i havent been ingame. Luckily i had a warranty plan for it so i am getting a check for the amount spent on the laptop. I am going to combine this to with the money i have been saving for about 10 months now and build my own desktop. Here is the list of parts i am going to be using:

Hello guys, this is a different kind of event more of a contest but it seemed like the Events Forum was the most fitting. This event will be a art Contest to see who can create the best banner/logo. It will be used by my band for merchandise such as wrist bands and also will have a giant logo behind where we play. That being said, i'll stop rambling on and tell you how it works:

Requirements

-Must include the Band's name (Crosswick)

-Please don't use a copyrighted image

- Can be hand drawn or computer generated

How to submit

Prize

-The winner for the Contest will be chosen by myself and my band mates, and should be announced sometime over the weekend.

Here are the latest 3 videos for my piano channel (as requested by Twixxie). This is with my new recording equipment (1080p HD webcam, Professional Studio microphone, and a stereo microphone mixer). Unfortunately you cant upload HD videos from Movie Maker 2.6 (its the windows XP version for windows 7). I tried to use Windows Live Movie Maker to get it to be 1080p HD, but the User Interface is  way too dumbed down for my liking. Anyway i hope you enjoy and leave a comment below of what you think.

Hello guys and welcome to the first event of my 10-part series: 2012 San Andreas Summer Drunk Games! For this event, we will be doing Sumo with monsters. I explain everything below:

What?

Monster "Sumo". How it works is 2 players will each be given 1 beer by me. They will drink from that beer for a certain amount of time, and then both players will get in a monster and try to push each other off the top of chiliad. the first one to be pushed off the top loses!

Winners from each round will advance to the next round, the one who falls off is eliminated!

Where?

This event will take place at the top of Mt. Chiliad in Whetstone.

When?

This event will be on Saturday, July 7th at 12:00 p.m. (GMT-5) . I will have it added to the /events list so you can convert it from there. It will also be in the list of events under my club (Nates Event Co) so if you are a member you can see when the event is from there.

What do i need to bring?

Nothing! Bring yourself, but if you own a Monster PLEASE bring that to the event so we can use it! (Let me know below if you are going to bring your monster so i can keep track)

1. You can use /fix if you breakdown
2. Do NOT Ram players who are not participating in that round

Here is a short video i made showing the first (that i know of) successful jump over the San Andreas Sound (river that separates Red County and Las Venturas). I'd like to thank again moondog for doing an awesome job at video recording. Yes the video effects are incredibly cheesy but i only spent an hour editing this with windows movie maker. Hello guys. Just decided to start a topic about euro 2012 and WHY you think the England squad did so poor considering by ranking they are supposed to be in the top 5 in the world. Not trying to single out the english, i'm partly english myself by ancestry, but it amazes me how a team with such high individual talent can do so poorly as a group. Do you think it's the players that wont co-operate with each other? Or the Coaching staff? Something different? Post your thoughts below!

Hello everyone not sure if what i am going to suggest here is possible or not but i thought i would just throw the idea out there and see what everyone thinks.

Problem: Many people do not use account security because they use 2 computers

My Concept: what if we had an option to enable account security for a max of 2 computers so that everyone will be protected against people hacking accounts. I'm not quite sure how we would confirm a valid computer so that's where you guys come in. Post a reply below! This idea just popped inside my head after i heard the bad news of Cal's account being hacked. (To admins: if there's a rule against referencing that incident in my post please just remove that part instead of locking/deleting entire post )

Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to Nate's Masterpiece for June 2012 (or so i like to call it). While making this event i wanted to do something unique (the RubKon Tow-a-Dodo really got me to think outside the box so thanks for that Rubber/Konali). I ultimately decided on doing an Olympic Games-style competition but to keep things interesting i had to ad my own little twist...

[The Drunk Games explained]

How this tournament will work is like the real Olympic Games; Players from various countries will participate in a wide variety of events. To try and control the amount of chaos i am going to set the limit per country to 3. For countries with many players (such as US or Romania) i may allow 5 players from that country.

Players will participate in 10 events listed below:
-Monster Sumo on Chiliad
-Bike down chiliad
-Swimming on foster valley
-Time Attack Street course in missionary Hill
-Long jump with CC @ not decided
-Indoor Cylcing in Dirtring
-100m Hurdles (Sf airport)
-Marathon Running (SF to LV)
-Triathlon LSI(run)>low-land(bike)>happyland(swim)>lvi
-400m Relay (either the dirtring or strip)
Before each event, players will be required to drink a /beer and get intoxicated.
For each event, i will make a separate topic that describes in detail what the event is about.

Scoring system

Just like the real Olympic Games, i will be rewarding Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. BUT these will come in the form of points.

Gold medal (first place in event) = 5 points for that player's country
Silver medal (second place in event) = 3 points for that player's country
Bronze medal (third place in event) = 1 point for that player's country

I will be keeping two separate score tables; one for countries and another for individual players. The country with the most points at the end of all 10 events is the 2012 San Andreas Summer Drunk Games winner!

Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded for winning countries:

1st place: $500,000 (each player gets a share of $166,666)
2nd place: $250,000 (each player gets a share of $83,333)
3rd place: $100,000 (each player gets a share of $33,333)

Along with overall countries, there will be prizes for individual events, too:

1st place ($25,000)
2nd place ($10,000)
3rd place ($5,000)

And lastly there will be a prize for the player who scores the most points:

Most points scored by one player: $50,000

I dont know if this has been suggested before, but i couldnt find anything on it. My suggestion is add an option to the menu of your house to make it open to the public (remove pass). This is a simple thing but useful for events such as house parties.

Since i do not have a video of the track up, i will clarify what the "jump" part means: you will drive off the edge of the quarry down to the bottom and then drive back up the other side.

Points system
The winners of the Rally League will be determined from the Rally League Leaderboard. After every race i will update the Leaderboard with the amount of points that you won during that weeks race. The point values will be the following:
1st place= 10 points
2nd place= 8 points
3rd place= 7 points
4th place= 6 points
5th place= 5 points
6th place= 4 points
7th place= 3 points
8th place= 1 point

At the end of all 8 races, the racer with the most points wins the Rally League!

*** NOTE *** If you cannot make this weeks race, you will be given 0 points.

Well after my laptop died over the weekend, i decided to get a new one and this is what i came up with. My parents offered to pay for $500 of the computer and rather spending money i had saved for my "super computer" desktop, i just decided to get the best performance for $500. What i came up with is this:

Although some may criticize the fact that it is refurbished it still got me the best performance for the price (if i were to buy a new laptop for $500 it would have to be a pentium or MAYBE an i3). Anyway things are looking pretty good so far, the only con so far is the lack of packaging that the laptop came in. A cardboard box not much bigger then the laptop itself, and only a 1 cm thick piece of cardboard. I'm lucky the damn thing didnt break from UPS delivery (they are very rough on their packages).

Anyway without further delay, here are the specs:
Laptop: ASUS k53e-BD4TD
CPU: Intel i5-2430m @ 2.4 Ghz (3.0Ghz turbo)
gpu: Intel graphics 3000
HDD: 500gb (although windows only recognizes 430gb for some reason)
Ram: 4gb DDR3 (i'm guessing 1033mhz but not sure)
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

Battery life: 9 hours (in power saver mode)

The battery life is also that sold me on this laptop because i sometimes need to go a day without being plugged in. i know you guys will say "why not go for a discrete gpu?" so here's the answer: Like i said before my parents said they would pay $500 for it and if i wanted a more expensive one, i would have to pay for the rest. AND this laptop is only going to be my primary computer until about September/October when i build my "super computer" desktop. I managed to save a lot of money from getting the Refurbished one, as they are regularly $800.

Possible future upgrades:

I'm considering replacing the standard (5400rpm) HDD with an SSD. still not decided because of the extra price, but would also greatly improve performance.
