Hello guys
I recently joined this server and in the sign of my decision of playing here from now on, I decided to re-design truck base in San Fiero. It's not that I don't like the current one but I think that it should be changed mainly because the current design is used for a lot of servers and we should make a step in accordance with 2017.
I am not official mapper for this server, but this my proposal for a new truck base design. I know that it's not going to be accepted maybe but I'll be okay with that too, here's what I did.

We're starting with interior of this building. Originally, it was filled with boxes and construction material.Now it is an automotive museum with the place for relaxing or being AFK. The building has windows, and the front side is redesigned into some sort of observation deck.

As we're leaving this building, a fountain is replacing the trailers at the location where they were parked. Now truckers will feel more comfortable and welcomed while joining the server and going to work.

The old truck base is now a modern base surrounded by trees and lamps with trucks parked in neat layout. Also, truckers will have more free space make U turn and attach one of the trailers to their trucks.

Everything is tidy and neat, mapped to be beautiful for everyone's taste.

Based on what other map work we have on this server, this is pretty good, above average :)

its been moved to maps board so its just to show work...
I haven't changed spawn point, building is at the same location and the room where players spawn is empty,only wooden floor is added. ;)

Great work, simple and beautiful. Who cares he's not a mapper, based on just this project alone, he's better then 90% of those who are so called mappers on this server.

Shout out ! to "Jenis the Penis" mah man! Great job dude keep on working i liked the concept of how your turned a carbage old crack house into a classy fancy warehouse!
& let me suggest something, about "mappers rank" in my opinions its not that catchy anymore why don't we just remove mapper, well just keep it but lets allow other server players to suggest their maps to be added even tho they're none mappers ?
i mean why not ? as long as admin decides which map will be added where's the deal ?
that was just my opinion "think about it"

Some people are inspired once in their whole life but that can look amazing.I remember barracanas truckstop,made by a normal guy.Nowadays, that orange color allows u to add maps,it's stupid,lol.First Ethan said it cant be added,no 'gg dude',nothing.When did u all become so thirsty of power and lost the sense of fun?I applied to mapper to help with stuff the server, not for an orange name...things are so broken here just because we got sick to gain some power.People,wake up!

Also, I agree with your idea because if players dedicate their free time to make some suggestion, map or whatever it is, it means that they care about the server. Waiting official mapper to do some changes would take a lot of time

I have failed to see how Ethan is being power hungry in this topic, perhaps saying what is/was written in "do not suggest" list is considered a way overstep your power now?
You are heading the wrong way DOC despite of having the chance to get your maps added on the server.
Although I might feel the "do not Suggest maps changes" rule kind of useless but it's been like that for years and for a reason, otherwise everyday a new guy will come up with a map suggestion and ask it to be added or ask the mappers to map it like his version, ultimately killing off the imagination and creativity of mappers. On the other hand it might give a better understanding about what people want and mappers can make stuff according rather than trusting their own instinct. Everything has it own advantages and disadvantages.
@Metalix, even if your idea is approved, don't you think it will be pretty much like it is now? Admins will choose maps only of few certain people (those being mappers ATM) which looks good. People who are good becomes mappers and map for server, and according to your suggestion: maps from people who are good at mapping gets added. It might give people a bit more chance to get their maps added on server but it's kind of same thing.
I'm not implying people who aren't server mappers aren't good mappers but server mappers are there for a reason.
Well re-creating this would be possible but if its made already why not add this one. If admins would agree we could cast a voting, to see if the players like the map (not to get it added) and see where that takes us? If a lot of players like this we could work something out.
Btw do you have some more pictures of this possibly in the daytime? I would like to see every aspect of it.
Why not add player maps? Its as much their server as is it the mods/admins/mappers. Why not let them help create stuff for it?

They already get a chance to do it. They get into dev team or mappers team and are given the ability to map for server.

just keep em mappers but accept regular players suggestions with some kind of a voting system ... its just easy! i am not saying we should remove mappers class just improve it.

not advertising but in Pilot's life server they had this method, suggesting maps from players and players will vote for that, if the votes are positive it would be added in their server....

admin & mappers thats more than 4
Admins have the final vote though.
