I was wondering if adding Actors (Like NPC but don't take slots) to construction sites would be something neat added to the server. What these guys would do would just be holding signs for roadworks or if they could actually be working at the site.

They shouldn't be in vehicles or really moving around much as to not cause accidents but could just be sitting in machinery or working on something like scaffolding. From what I read that you can apply animations to the actors as well which could show them at least somewhat moving lol.

Also if you kill an Actor you could become wanted or fined even.

I don't really know how Actos work or if it's even possible to do it without causing game issues but would be cool to drive by a new roadwork and actually seeing dudes working on it lol

This is possible. I'm not too sure if an Actors death calls OnPlayerDeath though,

OnPlayerGiveDamageActor (https://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/OnPlayerGiveDamageActor) this and a bit of ALS hooking can let us create that. So wanted level for killing one/two/three is possible.

I was going to suggest a mapper can add these on their own accord with their maps (slight update to maploader script if they wanted it). But its possible that actors could be used for other things (shops, bars, interiors).

Sure we can add actors to shop thats will be grate, but ee dont really have need to that i mean we dont use shop with int' just a icon

  • Guards at banks where securicar missions are
  • Bartenders or mechanics in club bases
  • Shop interiors that you can enter, can have people standing around and at counter
  • Have them dancing at the club in LS towers or the dance floor on Mt Chilliad
  • Have police around police departments
  • Have demonstrators outside buildings protesting
  • Salesman inside car dealerships
  • People in dirtring stands cheering
  • Workers at quarry
  • People at the beaches

The list goes on but you get the idea. I would love to be driving around an actually see civilization going on around me.

There is limit to actors you set to a server?

1K is enough for server with 25-30 player base.

This is a terrific idea. I think we could give mappers an option to add actors directly to maps.

I was just thinking this, and typing ideas to Joshy via Steam.

I've been wanting to add actors for a while now. This just gives me more of a reason (players actually wanting it) to code it. I did update the shops a while back to interiors but never got far enough to Create/Delete actors on the go. I lost it when i updated to Windows 10.

I'm not sure what else you can do with the actors, if you can make them interact with us, but never the less I think mappers would have fun adding these guys to the map and using their imaginations as to where to place them and how to animate.

I hope to see this been used for minimission

But i dont see this server getting minimission soon :(

So you gonna work on this again or is someone else :P Be so awesome! Also would be easier to make new stories about the characters that are added and how they are placed :D Wish I knew how to script lol
