Title: Problem with RAM
Post by: Wizzer on May 13, 2015, 22:04
Sup guys

I've almost finished building my own Rig but it has 1 problem with RAM. It has 7GB RAM but the Windows (64bit) is using only 4GB max. I know that problem is common with 32bit windows but never had it with 64bit..

My specs if these could help:
750w PSU
GTX 570 1280mb videocard
7GB RAM
1tb hard drive
AM2 motherboard
dual core x5800+ 2,8GHZ processor.

Any help would be appreciated! :like:

How much RAM is your BIOS able to see?
Can you be more specific on the motherboard too? Brand? Model?

This might help: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/312675-30-installed-memory-usable

If you're using 2 sticks then make sure you put them in "A1 and A2" not in "A1 and B1" to enable the dual channels.

Sorry if I'm wrong, not much into pc stuff :)
