As BGTrucker mentioned in game the next version isn't 0.4A.

Here are some of the new features coming in SA-MP 0.3.7. You can expect more things to be added and shown as we get closer to release.

Font size changing

You can now change the font size used by the SA-MP chat box and UIs. Although not officially supported, you can also change the font face and weight.

Other features and fixes

Fixes camera collisions on objects and vehicles that are outside the normal world map.
The server can disable collisions between driven vehicles for racing and stunt tracks.
Improvements to the editor's test mode.
Connection cookie system to prevent spoofed connection flooding.
Fixes for vertex lighting and UV animation on objects that have a large draw distance.
Fixed player weapon ID shot desync during a weapon change.
The scoreboard is bigger if you run the game at higher resolutions.
Fixes for various client crashes in 0.3z.

New objects

Matite from <server name removed> server jumped aboard again for SA-MP 0.3.7. There are over 240 new objects added, featuring everything from hats, to fruits, to new stunting areas. Below are just of a few of the new objects added.

Modular land objects

These can be used as a base to build custom maps and islands.

There's more to it, objects related to stunting. Shit that aint useful on a trucking server so i left that out. I'll update this post as & when more info is added :)

I personally feel that disabling collisions kinda lowers the realism. Yes it would mean no more ramming noobs. My suggestion would be to (if possible) would be to disable collisions at load/unload points and truck depots. Basically how ETS2MP has done it

It's a game. Its not supposed to mimic reality 100%.

It's also primarily for stunt / racing servers.

How should cops stop thiefs then?
Exploding gas stations already got removed because of noobs driving into them..
Don't disable the collisions, whats the point of convoys if you can drive threw the convoy members in top speed 24/7..it would get boring as fuck :dislike:

Its likely going to be a server.cfg thing anyway. I'm against having it added to CT anyway.


collisions 0 // 1 = on. 0 = off

How so? if you're fairly skilled with CC (Joshy, me and a few others) you can then endlessly drive. No cops would be able to ram you off the road then... It'd be terribly unfair.

If collisions are per player then you could do it for certain score unless they're wanted.

SA-MP 0.3.7 RC

The 0.3.7 RC is a testing version for an update to SA-MP's 0.3 branch. The official release will come once the testing phase is complete.

Updates:

SA-MP 0.3.7 RC1 Client/Server update

- Adds UI font size, face, weight changing.
UI font size can be changed with the /fontsize command in the client. Valid fontsize is -3 to 5.
- Although not officially supported, the font face and weight can be changed by editing the sa-mp.cfg file:

Supported font weights are 0 = BOLD (default) and 1 = NORMAL.

- The SA-MP client will now dynamically select the steaming memory amount for GTA:SA based on how much RAM is available. If you have a 'streaming memory fix' mod, it should no longer be needed and you should delete it. The streaming memory stats are available under the F5 screen in SA-MP.

- Adds over 240 objects created by Matite.
- Example scripts for using some of the new objects/features, including stunt_island.pwn, modular_island.pwn, ls_beachside.pwn etc.
- Adds fishing idle animation and example script.
- SelectObject() function can select objects that have no collision.
- Scoreboard will be larger if the game resolution is bigger than 800x600.
- Adds checks for bad floats/vectors in bike lean, train speed, camera's AimZ, bullet offset.
- Adds DisableRemoteVehicleCollisions() function to disable collisions between vehicles driven by other players.
- The editor 'Test' mode time/weather is now fixed. You can change the time/weather with /set_time and /set_weather.
- Default draw distance for editor 'Test' mode objects is 599.0.
- Removed the Idle camera (camera shake).
- Adds connection cookie system to prevent spoofed connection flooding.
- Syncs the weapon ID with the shot info, meaning there is no chance of shot/weapon desync in the OnPlayerWeaponShot callback.
- Fix camera collision problem when objects attached to vehicle you are in.
- Fixes for vertex lighting/time of day updates when an object has a draw distance > 300.0.
- Fixes UV texture animation on objects with > 300.0 draw distance.
- Fixes camera collisions on objects and vehicles that are outside the normal world map.
- Adds weather cull zones for Verona mall, LS BeachSide, LS Apartment Building, LS Office Floors to the SAMP/samp.ipl file.
- Fixed a problem in RakNet which meant the NetStats_* functions could not be used if the player ID wasn't fully connected to SA-MP.
- Adds functions: GetObjectModel(), GetPlayerObjectModel().
- Adds functions: GetPlayerCameraTargetObject(playerid), GetPlayerCameraTargetVehicle(playerid), GetPlayerCameraTargetPlayer(playerid) to find the network object the player is looking at.
- Vehicle rotation syncing should be smoother.

ATTENTION: CT won't be moving there until its out of RC.

it's definitely a nice update... especially the fonts size/type, stream memory, animated object fixes, camera collisions, and cull zones (areas where there will be no rain, like in the building with the elevator)

Found this, quite abusable on DM servers, could find out easy catches with this.
