Why would they re release a 10 year old game on a console thats 1 year younger than it? it's silly, considering it was already on Xbox Live. I paid for that game, and still own it.

Not to mention Rockstar already have GTA V to deal with, we don't need more bugged shit.

If you read the article... it's going to be gta San Andreas's 10 year anniversary.. and pulling the game from the market this close to the date is a sure sign that they have plans for a remastered version. It's said to include achievements this time around and include if not improve the mechanics that the ios/android versions improved upon. I won't be he least bit surprised to see improved textures and ect as well.

This is not a HD remake.  It is a port to phones with different features than the pc/xbox/ps2.

It's already been on ios and android for a long time now. Both versions improved controls and game mechanics as well as improved the overall look of the game (I have it for my s5). The Xbox 360 game that was a port from the original xbox that was on the marketplace has been taken down. The new one hat is suppose to be announced soon in time for the anniversary (Oct 26) will feature achievements, improved game mechanics and controls and improved graphics,  mark my words.

Even if they did do a remake of it, it most likely won't support samp, and all the current mods will have to be updated to this new fancy version, so no

After a bit of searching, it appears that it's xbox, psn and pc. The steam version is suppose to have a beta option right now or something and will be updated as well.

They do realise they're wasting time making it again for PC? seeing as we can pretty much get mods for the game...

So it is a remastered version :D I knwe it would not be 1080p on console but going to 720p I'd actually going to be a very nice change from the xbox/ps2 versions. I'm sure there are a bunch of things they added and changed ad well in sense of bug fixes and such.. at least you would hope.

Do consoles actually get 720p now?

Depends on the game. Some get 1080p, some get 900p, some get 720p.
