Title: Probably objects related problem.
Post by: Kone on April 22, 2014, 21:39
Hi everybody,

my problem seems to be a common one but maybe you can explain how to reduce it. Anyhow, whenever I travel around the Wet County I experience one big LAG that stops my game at some point. The first place I discovered is right after you get off the ferry and cross the bridge - just on the enter to the citys land I get occasion to get mad. It looks like I can drive around Wet County just using bridges, but when I try to enter a city it LAG my game.

What I've tried so far:
- Change resolution of the screen. As well as computer's and the game's.
- I've tried to reduce/increase RAM and cores (since Im using virtual machine).
- I did not install any sort of mods. In fact, I reinstalled GTA to be as clean as possible.
- Finally, I've tried to get Streamer Memory Fix with no success.

Perhaps this is not my fault, please get it fixed it or tell me what I can do to enjoy the server.

Regards,
Kone.

Why would you use a virtual machine, that's probably your problem right there

Nope. Im iMac user and since there is no way of playing SAMP on OS X I need to play on virtual machine. This doesn't even really matter because Convoy Trucking is the only server where I get ANY sort of lag. And by the way, this should be your concern to fix this up. People want to play.

If Mick wanted to help people who use Macintosh products, I think he honestly would have by now..It is not our concern that you have a Macintosh product, San Andreas itself is not even made for it, so that is not anyone's responsibility to get the compatible hardware but you. so if you crash while driving by somewhere, that is your problem for using a Mac

I saw iMac and laughed slightly. But on topic:

There's ways of playing SAMP on OSX, just look around. You can't blame CT for your "lag" when my old potato computer can handle WC with mods on high res. Go onto a stunt server. The one where they have silly ass amounts of objects. See if you lag then. You forgot to mention, your FPS during/before/after these "lag" spikes. You didnt give us/me a location of where you were when it happens either. WC is a big map. Narrow it down a bit. Usually we look into this sort of stuff if a fair few people have the issue, but it seems your the only one.

You dont understand. Virtual machine isn't a problem. Everything is working perfect, every single server - zero lags. Only place where I meet lags is your server in Wet County area. And please dont tell me that if you put so many objects in to one world you would not expect lags because they will show that way or another.

There have been multiple people complaining about lag in WC before. It obviously has nothing to do with him using a VM.
It's the mapping. People have complained about Vice City and some parts of Eyre mapping.

Kone, is it all of WC that you lag in or just certain parts, if certain parts, which exactly? Do you receive any errors?
Does the game crash at all or just lag?

Do you have a memory streamer? Try using bootcamp instead of a VM, its a thousand times better.

Its everytime when I enter this part of Wet County from either sides. Milestone County also gets me lag at some point, cant really say where doe.

It looks something alike: I drive over bridges and everything is fine, I enter some town/city and my game suddenly stops and after that I have to reset my whole system.

I did try memory streamer fix but there are many different ones across the internet and perhaps the one I downloaded wasnt right(?) If you could give me a link to the right one that would be great.

Thanks guys! All works fine now but instead of one big lag I get random crashes. Any ideas?

Did you use a streamfix from the topic? You might try a different one and see if there is any difference.

Is there a big spam of opcodes when it crashes? if so then it will either be a bad mod or you need a streamfix
