Lately i started playing world of tanks which is a quite fun game if i may say so:)
I play it at weekends when i never play CT because then its my family time and to chill with my brother and friends:)

There are several servers and i do play on the EU server, so that means players from the USA cannot play with dudes from the EU server or the SEA server that is for russia i believe, not sure.
Anyway, i found out Sveki and some old CT players do play this game also and it would be fun if i could meet up with some of u ingame some day offcourse:)
So if you do play WOT and you are fromt he EU side of it, please comment and i will check ur stats and perhaps platoon up:)
If you are not from the EU , post anyway , i love to discuss which tank is better etc etc and perhaps there are other CT players that do play on the USA server aswell and you guys could meet up also:)

I used to play this a lot in late 2010 when it was still beta and you got free gold every day. Was much more fun back then, I don't like it too much now, byt it's a good game.

It is 100% free :) but you could decide to go premium and gain more credits and exp per battle and new options, but im playing free :)
You can invite friends to do platoons and then battle together, or do training matches together:)
No serial /product keys orserials needed, just download the install client and it will guide you from there:) No torrents or cracks either all legit shit bro!! XD

War Thunder is much better imo. I am a beta tester for World of Warplanes, but it just isn't as good as war thunder. The only advantage of wowp is unified account with world of tanks. But wowp is still closed beta, so there is room for adjustments.

Torrent technology is best way to spread updates. Faster sue to high amount of users. Also cheaper for the game devs due them just needing to seed from 1 machine untill theres good supply of seeders from userbase and then devs can stop seeding it. P2P is best for large files like patches. It dosent secretly download it with torrent. It clearly says at begin of the process 'starting torrent client'
Ive had to resume it twice already..... 1350 MBs of 4908.. lets hope this lasts

I tried it again today and I cant even go hide without being spotted so IDK what to do nor what I am doing wrong.. there are training rooms, I went in one but never got selected to a team so i left.. and there is a place for private matches but again idk if you can challenge no us players (that kind of thing)

Seems pretty correct image to explain SU-85 with the 72mm gun. Aim for the tank, the shot flies over the tank by 2-3m But when i hit with it. It kills.
How to not be spotted: Dont move constantly. Hide behind something, dont shoot random shit for fun.
Kill all spotters at start of the game before they spot your whole team which after hopefully artillery will take care of you.
Hiding? I thought tanks go and destroy everything on their way :D
Maybe thats why you keep dying? You dont go and rush instantly through the field where whole enemy team can see you.

Arrows displaying direction of Movement
Its a certain death if you go past the field.
How enemy spots you: you move alot, you are withn their radio range (visibility), they see you visually fire, some of their team mates, usually some shitty fast tank drives around the enemy starting place to spot most of the tanks so their teammates can see them and shoot precicely and kill.
Also spotting is important if you playing with SPG (artillery) or AT-SPG (tank destroyer) because.
1. You are weak
2. You are slow
3. You're total shit on close quarters (SPG)
4. You dont want to get spotted (SPG)
5. Usually long reloading time

Dont go out in middle of map without cover. Also when the arrow is green you aim at something means you will penetrate the armor and do damage. If its red, it will just not go through

You should check out that Research and unlock the stuff. You want better engine, tracks, turret.. Basically everything. then you can unlock next tank. You need XP to first unlock it then some money to buy it and mount it. That should help you survive. Compare the cannons, you want alot armor penetration and damage, accuracy and preferably as many shots in minute as possible. I suggest sticking to 1 type of tank after you find good one. Eg if you continue with british mediums (Vickers) and dont later take a soviet medium or lights.
Because later each tier tank will cost like 26k XP for tier 6. You may not want to collect the XP multiple times for similar tank

Try playing Pz. 1 C without it. It's almost impossible to hit the enemy while zooming past them while going 75+ kph, due to the high RoF.

Have any of you heard of their new game called World of Warplanes? Im currently in the closed beta stage of it, and it's the same idea as world of tanks, but planes! Not sure when it's going to be released. They just started development on World of Warships, too.
I just downloaded this tonight and looking for some people to do some training with before I get into some competitive games.

Its pretty equal actually. You dont even see premium tanks in every game. Its like every game, it takes time to get good at it. If you dont put effort in your game. You going to suck like with every game.
Not only skill decides it but the equipment and tank. Ofc you going to get oneshotted if you happen to be in 2,3 tier higher's scope right at that moment.

Premium account users don't have any direct advantages over non-premium ones while in battle. The only advantage premium account gives you is more XP and credits per battle, so that means you will progress faster. So that means everyone is equal in battles.

I got in the closed beta too, and i must say i was a little dissapointed. Try War Thunder, it beats WoWp in pretty much every aspect.
To my opinion playing in the little tiers usually means chaos, and shots flying around everywhere.
When you reach tier 3/4/5 and higher thats where the fun begins and you can really make a difference.
Simplly because in the lower tiers to my opinion, you can be super good one game and the next you will sucks badly.
tier 4 and higher pretty much involves more tactics and strategy, tier 1-3 is more rushing around the map and shooting at everything that moves:)
So find a tank you really like to play with, stay with that tech tree, and upgrade your tanks:)

yes im on it but not had chance to update it so not played it in months. its pretty good they they have sorted the handling out.

LIGHT TANKS
Light tanks are scouts providing the eyes and ears of the team. Use your superior maneuverability to spot the enemy, radio to your team and duck back quickly under cover before your opponents even know what happened.
Tips:
- Always keep moving! Your armor is weak, but you're meant to be a hard target to hit.
- Be patient. Just because you're fast doesn't mean you're untouchable. Sometimes it's best to wait for your heavier armored teammates to clear out enemies before you make your move.
MEDIUM TANKS
Medium tanks are incredibly varied in their armor, speed and firepower. Tailor your strategy to individual tank models and you'll find yourself taking on different roles from scouting and support to front line attacks.
Tips:
- Two is always better than one. Try pairing up with another medium tank to take on a heavy tank and gain double the effectiveness.
- Know your role. As a medium tank you'll find yourself taking on many different tasks in each individual battle. To simplify things, chat with your teammates to define strategy before the battle begins.
HEAVY TANKS
Heavily armored and loaded with powerful guns, as a heavy tank you are a force to be reckoned with.
Tips:
- You may be big, but you have your weaknesses too. Do your best to not expose your weak spots (back and sides) when heading into battle.
- Don't be afraid to be the second wave. Being heavily armored means you're not the speediest tank on the map. Staying back allows you to eliminate fast and sometimes reckless opponents while protecting your base and friendly SPGs
TANK DESTROYERS
These well equipped machines are meant for taking out enemy armor from long distances whilst remaining completely unseen. Find a good hiding spot, switch to sniper mode and eliminate easy targets from across the map.
Tips:
- Hit and run. Find good cover so that your tank destroyer will stay hidden until you are ready to attack. After you shoot be sure to find a new hiding place immediately.
- Keep your eyes on the target! Your strong front armor will keep you protected in a heavy firefight if you stay facing forwards.
SELF-PROPELLED GUNS
SPGs have thin armor but immense firepower. With the ability to hit targets anywhere on the map from nearly any location, even under cover, SPGs can turn the tide of a battle in the blink of an eye.
Tips:
- To cause the most damage, coordinate with scouting teammates to hit hard to reach enemies previously hidden on the map.
- Location, location, location. Ideal placement of your SPG is within cover, but without obstruction so you can see everything on the map without being spotted by enemies. You have weak armor, so stay within friendly territory.
- Think before you shoot. You pack huge firepower but it can take time to reload so choose your targets wisely.

Well after upgrading from tier one.. I find myself addicted to the T57 SPG <3 Just need more people spotting :/ I have been lucky enough to kill 3 people so far by blind fire in the last known area :D

Hmm.. Seems after patch 8.6 no one likes having SPG on their team.. Past couple games right at the start, people are saying "Oh great a SPG..." Sure.. As a SPG user, I don't get out there in the middle of the battlefield next to you, but when you are taking fire and hiding behind a building or can't quite hit the target cause you are at a bad angle, you will be happy to have me on the team.. :P
On another note.. Why am I being matched up with tier 3 tanks when I am using tier 2 and some times tier 1 tanks? :/

Seeing as you can't see any enemys until they are within your field of range.. and even when they are, there is the factor of camo and bush that counter your effective range.. I got it today, played some battles, not bad but gets boring, you cant see where are the tanks, they can see you and kill in 2 shots but you cant, it gets annoying. Even if you see them, you cant kill they as fast as they do with you. It also gets boring because everyone seems to do whatever they want without an strategy. And the difference in the sizes of the tanks makes it not look so real :/
I will stick to Battlefield 3, where i can see the tanks shotting at me from really far distances and people actually seems to be stickied to a common objective. :D

The whole reason behind of tanks being hidden when not spotted is that the unfair-fire (artillery) cant just own every game and blow up everything while they are still at their bases. Your team needs a spotter that will do suicide run around the map to enemy side and spot most of the tanks so others can shoot them.
one problem I see is that the tank gets seen but then it goes away as if you spot it but dont kill it... if an enemy tank gets spotted (by anyone) I think it should stay exposed to everyone so we all have a same chance to destroy it.. and rainbow, you should join our calvary we have... Nate, Moondog, and me so far

This, The T-50 and T-50-2 are the BEST scouts in the game right now. I have the t-50, it does I think 60 or 65 km/h up hills and everything, I just run circles and zig zags around the opponents heavy tanks :P

SPG's became pretty harmless after the 8.6 update, because they miss 80% of the time, and their rates of fire have been decreased for a half in most cases. So now, i'm not sure wheter i will be happy to have an SPG on the team, since what usually happens is that you see a HE shell fall next to the enemy right before he pierces you. :)
About matchmaking, tier 2 is supposed to meet tier 3 tanks, just like tier 3 is supposed to meet tiers 4 and 5. However, tier 1 will never meet tier 3 tanks unless you are in a platoon with a tier 2 or higher tank.

You can, you just gotta know how. :)
You probably couldn't see them because they were hidden in the bushes, and in that case you are pretty much dead if you go too far. What you need to do is move carefully with your teammates, never alone, and try to detect them, while being ready to return fire and get to cover.
That is something you can't know after a battle or two, it needs time. After couple of dozen battles, you will start to know some things about the game, like how far can you go ahead without getting detected on certain maps, the best sniping positions, flank routes, weak spots on certain tanks, angling your armor so you can bounce enemy shots etc. etc.
If you gave the game a real chance, you would start understanding it better and therefore liking it more. :)

Don't discard the ELC AMX. It might not have a traversable turret, but it's really fast and has a fearsome 90mm gun which can bring pain to even tier 9 tanks.
Also, it's more versatile than the T-50 scouts, since you can snipe effectively with in tier 7, and sometimes tier 8 games.
Ethan I see what you mean, I havent killed anything yet without getting sniped by artillery.

The MS-1 is one of the best tanks for begginers, it's pretty easy to get used to. It has a 45mm gun that is used by tier 2 and even tier 3 tanks, so you can guess what it is capable of doing in tier 1.
Leichttraktor (Loltraktor :P ) is the second tank i'd recommend you, since it's overall good and has a decent selection of guns. You should try them all to see which one suits you best.

Shake, just be aware of the HerpV-1 (KV 1) along the line. When you get to at least Tier 3 or Tier 4, you will see it. It has what they call a Derp Gun. It,'s WoT dialect for a gun that deals insanely amount of damage, aka it's able to one fucking shot some lower tiers.
How I know? Platoon with Rainbow + Rainbow using SPG = Matches with Tier 3s and 4s while I'm Tier 1. Took on a HerpV-1 all by my self. :happy:

I had a pretty funny match yesterday, I was using the T18 with the derp gun on it on province.. for over half the match I pretty well did nothing but sit at spawn at take pot shots across the map into known bushes for hiding.. well about half way through the match, 4 of us were left, two SPGs a medium and me. Had a medium comming up the hill and I was waiting for it just as I suddenly took fire from an (at the time unspotted AT-1) So after losing half my hp in one hit, I panic and go full charge over the peak of the hill and down at the medium, he panics and fires and misses and I promptly fire with the widest accuracy circle possible while moving and one shot him (promptly after I do so, he calls me a "op piece of sh..."). But I did not stop there, I kept charging across the field and found me a little AT-1 which I charged at, again he fired and missed, I shot, again with no accuracy and scored a crit on him bring'n his health down to about 2% where one of our SPGs than dealt the death blow. So now, 4v4. I turn my attention towards the shots that are bouncing off my super armor plates and charge straight at them, to my surprise, I was taking three different tanks on and bouncing all of their shots. I shot, took out a light tank and than was taken out by a SPG. We lost the game, but everyone was like "holy shit, way to go pinky" xD
all I can say is that we can all get on this public test server and square off against each other and if you do on there but it comes back as wrong password and you have changed it at anytime, use your old one.... I wwas there yesterday in team training and they was doing WW! type things like Germany and Russia vs NA and UK... so we can have epic battles if you guys/gals really want

The only tank i know that can reliably one shot the Hellcat is KV-2. KV-1S and IS can't one shot it with their 122mm D 25T guns (at least not with AP shells), and i don't think even SU-100Y can either with its 130mm.
But anyway, it compensates for the 13mm hull armor with amazing speed of 72 kph.

It takes about a few minutes of work to research from tier 1 to tier 10. You just go to the next tank and research modules leading to the next tank, then the tank itself and so on. And about selling limit, you can go around it by buying slots.

While I was playing today I'm being shot from someone that does not appear on my radar or anything! after a few seconds my camo seems to not work and they all can still see me.
I have found this quiet annoying many times. The enemy can see you but you cannot see them. But when you fire your cannon you loose alot of camo ability makes it much easier to spot, If i shoot everyone knows where i am. But if they shoot. I cant see them for sh*t. Gah annoying! :\
I got a new favorite toy.. the Panzer 2 :D It has decent speed (40km) And the traverse and gun traverse speed are good too. The only downside is that it can only use auto cannons, So long distance engagements are not advised. But the top gun on it will rip through any other tier 2 tank except the obvious frontal armor of the T18. One good full blast from your gun into an enemy will destroy if not bring them to critical state. with a 131 Rate of fire you can unload it super fast and the reload time is a mere 3 seconds so Peek-a-boo strategy works perfect.

Panzer 2 is awesome, but not nearly as awesome as Panzer 1 C. :D Panzer 2 G is not bad either with its 30mm autocannon (penetration is around 90mm) but has a very long reload time and is rather sluggish.

You can only see who shot you when the shell damages or destroys modules/kills crew members. Otherwise, you just see the direction from which the shell came.

Bought the KV-1S today, man i advice that tank to anyone. I used ~30k free xp ihad saved up to upgrade everything in te beginning except the engine, so the first battle i did in it, was already partial fully upgraded :D Man this thing is a beast:)

Same applies to SU-100. Everything that can carry a D25-T in a tier 6 battle is a bloodthirsty beast. :)

KV-1S hits hard, but its armor is actually lighter than that of regular KV-1. KV-1S is basically a high speed version of the KV, because crews complained about its slugishness.
On the other hand, S has a bit more HP but that's neglible.

The Jagdpanzer is not fast enough to really get to a flanking position fast enough most times and you end up facing the likes of an IS head on just bouncing shots after shots off of it's armor. Best I can do, is just track the dang thing and run for the hills hoping my team takes care of it before it does me. :P Not sure about the tier 7 German TD though.. I sold my Jagdpanzer after a few games of being destroyed in one shot while not able to deal out any potential damage that made it worth keeping it.

Trust me, Jagdpanther is worth every single frustrating tier 8 battle with Jagdpanzer 4.
As for grinding the Jagdpz 4, mount short 88mm and play close support in all games beyond tier 6. In tier 6 it is actually a pretty capable TD despite its relatively low penetration (~130mm with the 88mm gun).

I play on the NA server but downloading the EU server as well, just to try play with you guys as I play on there regularly. Name on NA server is xerotolerance as will be my EU name since it's not taken on there, will just have to grind a lot once I get it downloaded lol.
In the new 8.9 patch they have added 7 vs 7 team matches, so we should try and organize a CT team. :)
My game doesn't transfer over to the EU server unfortunately so looks like I'll be starting from the bottom there lol but if people are still playing on there from here I'll get some higher tier tanks to platoon with you all. I'm at Tier X on the NA server so if anyone wants to platoon there I'll be around, just add me and let me know you did on here.

IS with 0 and BP with 226 damage in a tier 7 game are much more unfortunate if you ask me.

Had an amazing battle a few days ago with konali! we were both driving Cruiser Mk. III (tier 2 tanks :P )
anyway it went bad and konali died D: and so did the other team members just me left.
I was shitting myself as it was me vs 6 other tanks.
I killed them all and cant belief it XD when I can find out how to get god dam fraps to work I will video the replay and show you all. It was hilarious!
Another hilarious fight I had was just today while using my TOG II.
The comments that were being typed were funny. Talking about world of vegetables. and other bizarre things :D

Slow moving pool of HP armed with a 17 pounder, which is a tier 7 gun. That's what TOG is. I don't like it myself, but it can be dagerous if played correctly.

A little bird told me, Wargaming is developping ''server roaming'' . this will mean, you can select on which region you want to play without starting over as it is now and register a seperate account on that region.
So If this gets put trough we will be able to play with rainbow, calvin and all others:D
there is nothing confirmed yet, but alot of famous WOT youtubers have confirmed they heard Wargaming confirming this rumour.
anyway it would be fantastic:D

They are indeed working on roaming between server regions. This video is a livestream, but in this lifestream some high wargamming officials showed that they could join the EU server with thei rNorth American accouns and Russian ones.

No, the test server is pretty much like the regular WOT, except that you play with players of all regions. You just download the installer, which then downloads the test server. Nothing else you need to do.

- Sheridan doesn't fit World of Tanks, because it could fire the Shillelagh missile and "without missiles, this tank would be illogical"
- new "split" Panzer IV's and StuG (tier 3,4,5) will be available for all modes, not just historical battles
- effects of ammo rack "cook-off" (SS: burning through the hatches from inside) are planned
- problems with LT class now? "Don't play light tanks"
- it's not yet sure whether in historical battles, it will be sufficient to have historical modules unlocked, or you will have to buy them as well, both options were discussed

- there was a video on Russian server, where players can apparently send their dumb ideas and developers answer them. Some player proposed to implement equipment (or consumable? didn't notice) that would create a "holo-tank" on the spot where the original tank was ("mock-up tank"). Apparently, this idea won't be implemented...
