Title: Feedback about CT maps

Hello guys, since this is a new board let me start off with asking you this question:
What is your opinion about the overall look and mapping details from the maps that have been added to CT, or got added in the past, which maps you really don't like and why not, or which maps you think should look better with etc.

I like all the mapping in CVT it's gereat i just don't like some bugs that they have by that i mean that something is higher and the other thing is lower.

I think they have been perfectly designed keeping all small things in mind, but some bridges are blocking the way for boats (example: Fir Island to Eyre Island bridge, the one with gas station at the end). Rest is perfectly designed, I specially like the new eyre Island, and the cave located in Sandus Key.

All maps looks great! I love it all! but in 2 yrs and a half we can go better! Just look for more mappers,make a big thing...and let's expend on all earth!..Anyway all maps looks great even islands,even club bases or road works! Thx to Mappers Team!

Anyway can Mick make Sandus Key and the Valley visible on minimap(or Map)!??

I like all the maps, except for the roadworks behind lv airport. there is not enough room for trucks to get through

No, gangzones limits has been reached, so only thing possible is to make the already gangzoned islands/maps less detailed, so that there will become free space again to use new gangzones. However this might work for the Valley and Sandus 1 time, but i think after that its the same story again. Once everyone knows where the islands are i dont think its  a huge problem. Maybe there will be a update with the gangzones script micks uses in the future, who knows.

No, gangzones limits has been reached, so only thing possible is to make the already gangzoned islands/maps less detailed, so that there will become free space again to use new gangzones. maybe smaller things, like club bases or petrol stations (in bone county outside quarry) can be removed to make room

tbh, road are too small -.- make them bigger, sure the bridge from Rockshore, LV <-> Wet county, happyland. the extra mapped pieces of land like wc,fir,eyre,vci looks nice but some stuff are stupid

Good concept, mapping can be quite messy though. I suggest that you take time when mapping to make it look perfect.

I have to agree. but maybe not still copy them. And the distances should be longer. I could try to sketch something like that for myself and if it goes well give it to some mapper to finish the details (I suck at them or i put too much detail to 1 place)

I would love to do an entire Island network, the fact is, whether the owner of the server will accept and add it in.. if he does, he then has to do all the scripting for it like adding missions of each class, houses and general stuff for which can tak a very long time since he seems to be the only scripter for CVT

My personal opinion on the CVT mapping is this:

A lot of the areas are kind of boring (sorry if I offend anyone). The whole wet county area seems too square and "cookie-cutter" similar. All the islands look kind of the same and all roads are square and boring to drive on (I know the reason for this is so the GPS script can be used to show roads on the minimap...but still). Curvy and hilly roads are more fun to drive on than straight and flat ones. However, I still like WC because it is an addition to the original map. TBH, the server would be quite boring without WC.

Now that I am a mapper, I try to use unique objects and create cool places (the Sandus cave was my little 'Easter egg' idea). I think neat places like this keeps people interested. There are more cool things to be added onto Sandus (assuming they get approved).

About the temporary mapping additions like roadworks: I think there are too many 'accidents' and road construction sites. Also, I think they are left in for way too long. I remember one site that was in for over a year. I think a month is a reasonable time for temporary mappings. I haven't been on the server to see many of the new mappings lately, but I hear they are quite unique...and for that I give the mappers applause  8)

There is enough room I made it with a petrol tanker, there is just not enough room to turn left from that street, I had to go around the block.

Honestly I think mappers shouldn't have to be restricted to 0, 90, 180 and 270 degree roads just because of the GPS map, it just makes things boring...

We need a truck stop, not like WC truck stop, you can't call that a truck stop
there should be a $ and a big parking place (not able to be used as truck park , or maby? ) and a big gas station and some trees and maby some area to host car show, that would be a good truck stop

Nicer than that. Im thinkin something like the one on truckmania, their hotel where the red county gas station is by hunter quarry. I might apply to start mapping.. believe it or not, not to brag, im one of the best mappers you will find (;

hmm.. who ever mapped the s.f island or l.v island which is for pilot jobs i really would appritiate if that
run way was little longer. and trees near W.c are so high that when u fly to w.c airport trees dont load up fast and u get stuck and blow up. i do knw that we should fly high but sometimes its really annoying..

would love to see if anyone make a big island btw L.s - Angel pine since most of the truckers seems to be working only from sf-lv-wc. no one cares abt poor old angel pine or L.s :) just my opinion tough.

The LV one can be downloaded from SA-MP forum, no one of the players on CT has mapped it.

You are right about low traffic in Angel pine/sandus/whetstone.
I see only one solution to fix this properly to make it more attractive to drive around the map and thats: Connect Sandus with WC, connect WC with the new upcomming LV islands and LV islands with Sandus :) so you get one big connection.

I see only one solution to fix this properly to make it more attractive to drive around the map and thats: Connect Sandus with WC, connect WC with the new upcomming LV islands and LV islands with Sandus :) so you get one big connection.
