I have been thinking about this idea for a long time now. I hosted the first truck up chilliad almost a year ago now and RubKon just hosted the latest one yesterday. I think it is a challenging event (because half the contestants failed..)
I know most people hate on the Truck Mania guys when they join the server. Last time their server was down, a bunch of them came in here. They were exploring and talking about how good they were at trucking. I challenged them (nicely) to my truck up chilliad event on the spot. I think 3 or 4 guys tried it and 2 of them had times that would have been in the top 10 of all time. I actually had a good time doing this and even made friends with the TM guys for 15 minutes.
Anyway here is my suggestion for an event, let me know what you think. I say we challenge the TM guys to a Truck Up Chilliad event for fun. The way I see it, TM and CVT would each come up with a team of lets say 5 guys. Each of the team members will go one at a time in the event. At the end, all the times will be totaled. The team with the lowest combined time wins. There must be a way to account for people failing (falling off the mountain or resigning) and I think a stock penalty of 5 minutes will be awarded for these runs.
It would be kind of cool to somehow have a prize that either team could enjoy if they win, like a membership to something.
It's just a thought of mine to bring the TM and CVT guys together, I don't know why you guys are always hating on them...
I like it Rubber, Hopefully I will be able to watch or even enter in the event.. Either way I think this will be a Great way for SAMP Servers to come together and have fun....
BTW. I am trying hard to move up in Convoy Trucking, so you will probably see me more often, and more involved in the Community... Let me know what I can do to help!

Well i think u need atleast 3-4 guys for Event Security or Safety Cars.

this is a great idea i fully support this and if theres people blocking could always transport them away like to wet country (cvt) or long point (tm) or put them in jail for nuisance at the event the only thing left is deciding where the event will take place.
p.s. i play both servers so i wont be racing but if you need help with anything feel free to ask (i like both servers)
Ok, I want to get this event rolling. I am going to be away this weekend so it wouldn't work then. however, next weekend sounds good so far.
We are having the problem of deciding where we should host the event. There are a few issues. Each server has its own features and the opposing side would be at a disadvantage. So it might be best if we chose a neutral server that doesn't have much scripting done to it. Does anyone have an idea?
I think we also need to make it clear that mods will not be allowed. This is because some mods turn better than others. We need a way to monitor mods and make sure none of the team members have them installed.
Now time to copy/paste this to their forum :D
I have to say, they watch their forum more than we do.
For the server: We can run a home server. PowerPC's script, that everyone knows.
For the mods: Everyone participating, will have to take a picture/video of him starting the race and finishing it. That way if anyone had mods, he will be DQ-ed.
So I'm an old player of TM, as well as I was an old player of this forum (before my account was canceled for lack of login) and I must say that both forums (and their servers) are beautiful, by pure chance I entered in the event of chillad and I was lucky enough to win it and all that convinced me to stay here and kick-start an account here. Since you're inviting Truckmania players to the event, I suggest it's hosted on Convoy Trucking server. Server hosted at home will surely lag a lot more as less and less players can come in to spectate. When TITS players come up with an event they can invite us and vice-versa.

How about! we do this event twice or more. well let me explain what i was thinking last night.
we select 2-4 team captains and TM does it also, may the best team of a certain team win :)on the other hand, we need a official player that could be trusted to time everyone and fill in honest times. so to much teams would be confusing perhaps, on the other hand, with more teams, more players could have a chance to race.
I think if we just keep it to one group (5 players) for each side for now, it would be good. We can host this event again in a month or something and have it at their server. This could be like the Trucking Olympics. We could also create other events that we could compete in.
I am not racing for our side and I think I am honest at recording times/judging so I don't mind being the referee. However, I think TM also needs a person to referee just in case.
Also, I think each team should have 2 or 3 backup drivers in case some cannot make it.
Mick just told me in game that he can host a separate server for this event. We just need to tell him how many slots we would like and what gamemode it should be. So big thanks goes to mick for this!
I was thinking of something like that, you could set up a contest where you select the best 5 of the forum to compete against children truckmania, and maybe every month we could repeat everything as Rubber said in previous post could be established the World Trucking Olympics, what do you think about????

CT guys enter with Name[CT] tag
TM guys enter with Name[TM] tag
and rubber and i or others would enter with [official] tag or somthing like it.
Just an idea to seperate things even better.

I heard TM is willing to create another temp server or mick was willing to help out here. of both things are not true/working out, then i say:
2 matches: Home game for us on CT server
and away game on TM server:)
to seeif we could beat them on their own server and vice versa
