Im going to make the largest map ever made for san andreas.
im going to use real locations,roads and stuff like that.
estimated time to complete is atleast 2-3months.

these towns will be added into map:Fairbanks,Prudhoe Bay and Livengood
Estimated road length made will be:300-500km(if everything goes ok)

I had a dream about it when i was sleeping,and woke up and wrote all the details down.
i have around 10% of the info of the ice road at the moment,but i have contacted carlile trucking company and asked theyr help on this project.
if i get all the needed data,then i can start building a real ice road map for san andreas players.

This isnt the right game to map shit like that Imo.
1st of all, you'll need shit ton of textures for snow/ice textures for the roads/truck mods/ getting the roads right and placing land forms and etc correctly, this just isn't the game for this sort of project.

Not to rain on your parade, but I don't see how making a 500km map is possible when the SA map length is maybe 25km long if that
Good luck and I have done this with a other player! :) We made like 150km of road in the sea from LV that had around 18 islands and 4-5 truckstops but sadly we closed the server and the map is somewhere in a pastebin! :P
even if u complete that , there are bigger mappings

First off all:Prudhoe Bay,Livengood and Fairbanks will be made a little bit smaller.And if i should get problems with that limit(25-40km).im going to make the road a little bit diffrent but still im going for 400km mark atleast.
There will be added gas stations(to use the map on samp).
And If i finish this map,it will be the largest map ever made for San Andreas.
Il post videos of my procress every now and then.
Il come online(into cvt)on monday to see how far trucks and cars can go with a full tank.(to know where to put gas stations).

First we must finish our map project. Then we will take a look at truck mods.
i am definatly intrested about the project not cause its "the biggest ever" its because i want to see how you try to build the self icy road. My aussie mate tried same, but he couldnt figure out how to make a breaking ice.

Yes the finished map can be used in sa-mp.
And at the moment we are building Fairbanks.

hmm, I just remembered how my house was filled with "snow" from liberty city which is nocollide, if you fit a bit of that and under that some breakable glass.
So theres glass and some "snow" to cover the glass texture.

We will try to use as less objects we can.
And thats one of the reasons why we are looking for beta testers.
If everything goes fine,it should be ok to use in sa-mp.

also i have an extension for mta , its a script that dublicates objects and stuff , u will save much time with that .
Also im a mapper too , actually a DM mapper . BUT anyway i can help u if needed .
Im proud to say that Fairbanks is 75% complete.In 2-3hours we will complete building Fairbanks.And then we will start with the ice road!!!
you can get close to the distance you want if you make the road go around the map of sa, if u do the turns wide enough it would give the illusion of a straight road when in reality your doing one big turn.
yeah just loop around SA constantly
I don't know anything about mapping and stuff, but sure I can test a map, unless it's insanely complicated to install or something :)

In couple of hours il post a video to show u the current status of the project.At the moment we have finished Fairbanks,and we are going to make couple test runs with it.soo soon we will start with icy mountains between Fairbanks-Livengood.Real Ice Road starts from Livengood-Prudhoe bay.

Not to rain on your parade, but I don't see how making a 500km map is possible when the SA map length is maybe 25km long if that
boundries are clear out in the water. It took me 10mins airbreaking (Stunt server allowing hacks, and used a differant IG name just incase..) to get the pop up 'Get back into would boundries.

Maya seriously showed some skill on that road, very clever patient learner and seriously did well on the load count considering.
But i prefer lisa :P she's just more cool....but i guess we've got to know lisa a bit more over the years :p

I had One big city finished and allready was building mountains and ice road,then made a brake to play some cvt.after that i was going to continue my mapping.But half or more of the map has just dissapeared.This means more work or just quiting.

That's not impossible, but you have a lot of work to do. Keep in mind that you don't have unlimited objects per project. You will have to make the map piece by piece. I had a crazy idea last night as well. I think I will remake the Forbidden City. Just got a 3d representation of it, and soon I will start working on it.
