Title: Auto-unmute for flooding
Post by: Martin on November 27, 2016, 12:22
What the title says. Getting muted for flooding attempt and no mods/admins on while could be quite nasty sometimes. I guess getting un-muted after around 1-2 minutes would be nice, than to relog.

People would be abusive :dislike: but I like :like: if it is very good because there will not always be online moderators

i would say if a player gets muted for FLOODING attempt for 2 times, then after 3rd mute he wont get auto-unmute ( a possible way to stop abuse ??? ) ( maybe 3rd mute count can be counted in a day not just when he stays online )

Yes for the suggestion.

That depends on the player.

Had this on my hard drive before it shit itself. Pretty much worked like;

First offence: Muted 120 seconds (2 mins).
Second offence: Muted 300 seconds (5 mins).
Third offence: Muted 900 seconds (15 mins).
Fourth and final: Permuted until mod unmutes you.

It was account bound. So relogging couldn't fix it if it was a permute (4th offence). All the above would be overridable via mod commands obviously. Might work on it when im not busy again if its feasable.

That seems fair enough.  :winkcmas:

I don't think the server is in need of a permanent mute, which doesn't go off on re logging, I didn't vote for that, and if that is the case I would have voted no for this suggestion.

I feel that the current situation is better than this.
And it isn't that difficult to reach the 4th offense by mistake. The script just compares first character of the sentence.
