Title: Forklift steering
Post by: BGTrucker on April 19, 2015, 06:23
I've got a question to modders - is there a flag in vehicle's handling or some other way which can swap the wheels that are being steerable ? I mean I would like to make forklift being steered by its rear wheels like its in real life, instead of the front wheels. Please don;t suggest me some mods for it,Im asking this question because I want the original forklift to be like this.

no flag, its in the vehicles .dff file that specifies which wheel turns.

Doesn't the forklift have rear wheel steering anyway (the rear wheels make it turn)??

Silly me,Ethan is right. I didnt check it ingame,I checked it in GGMM and there the front wheels were steering. Also once I used a forklift mod which had the front wheels steerable,so may be thats why I got confused. Sorry for the useless topic.

There is a handling flag which makes the rear wheels steering not the front, I think I even tested it on copcar while I made the flagger script.

it's the 6th bit in handling flags: http://www.gtamodding.com/wiki/Handling.cfg#Handling_Flag_Data (http://www.gtamodding.com/wiki/Handling.cfg#Handling_Flag_Data)
