Title: Short code for Countdown
Post by: Narayana on February 26, 2015, 15:15
We have short codes like (/nf-Need Fuel ,/otw-On The Way,/fm-Follow Me,/sd-Slow Down etc.).

So let Countdown also get short code(/cd-Countdown).It will make work easy while type.

So try to make short code for countdown also. This is my suggestion and opinion.

Note:I don't no whether this code is already present or Not.I didn't see this code till now.

Add poll?

Other than that, I approve on the grounds that it will be convenient for convoy operators.

Shortcuts make a good serer. I quit many servers due to long commands.

I don't think countdown is used so much that it needs a shorter command.

At least he had balls to tell the truth >:D

Btw, if it ever gets added then please add a cooldown (30 sec for eg), it will be easily abused..

A cooldown would be useless, right now you can type the command>enter>T>up arrow>enter as much as you want.

-1, dont be lazy its not that damn hard, plus thats usually used when starting off on a convoy, so you wouldnt be moving yet

Yes you can do that if you never type in the chat..
For me it would take at least 30 times to press the up arrow lol

I don't think countdown is used so much that it needs a shorter command.

I agree with Sjomp here. /countdown isn't used as often. Commands like /fm /otw /fm are shortened, because they are often used while driving. When you type /countdown, everyone is likely lined up at the start line. It's meant to be used for racing rather than convoys - I don't see a reason to use countdown for convoys. If you use it often, you can press up-arrow to access recent commands.

Or you could type it, then CTRL + A, CTRL + X, then when you want to start the countdown, CRTL + V and enter.

I don't feel its worth the time difference between

/cd and /countdown. Mick explained it well enough IMO

If Mick himself said its not needed then why is topic still in discussion? :generic question here:

Just because he's the server owner it doesn't always mean that its a no. He's giving his opinion on a suggestion that's all. Im sure he would of locked it otherwise.
