From few days I have been noticing this thing. He targets my 'ping' and 'lag' inorder to crack a joke and make fun of me in main chat. Not only today, a day before also, he mentioned me in main chat, >'Meep nexus lagger'<.
Having a higher ping is nothing you can fix most of the time. Just tell him it has nothing to do with him so he should be quiet.
