Title: Recommendations for dashboard camera
Post by: Eurobeat on June 23, 2014, 14:14
Hey guys, as you know, I've got a tow truck now and people in SA practically loathe tow truck drivers, I want to buy a dash cam for the truck but I have NO IDEA what to buy as I've never actually used one or even thought about one.

Any recommendations?
Thanks

Get a Go Pro (https://www.google.co.uk/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=ZcWpU_y9ONDX8gf9kYH4Aw&gws_rd=ssl#q=Go+Pro) then attach it to the dashboard, point it where you like. There's more heavy duty ones out there, it just depends on what you'll class 'normal' use as.

Go Pro is good for video, but it's shit for sound. Someone I know has a really good(apparently) camera, but the sound recording is worse than my phone's.

Nah, the audio is good, for what it is.

You may be able to add a microphone to it yourself.

To make sure people who don't like me have less chance of winning court cases of my 'bad driving causing accidents.'
