yeah i know... its hard to have fun doing convoy if it lags like shit...
We know lag is a big problem right now... well it's been a problem for a long time. I'm working on reducing whatever lag I can in the gamemode, whether it's updating the MySQL plugin / optimizing SQL code, changing floating point methods to use more efficient MathPlugin, profiling the gamemode, you name it.
It's a lot of work since the gamemode is really large, and some things like updating the MySQL plugin require updating massive amounts of code (it's at least 3k lines of code, I've already done 1k since last night).
But hopefully, with a tiny bit of luck, all of these changes will reduce lag to negligible levels.
As a request by the way, when you notice heavy lag (speedo/chat freezes for more than 2 seconds), can you type something like "/laggy" in the chatbox so we can see when the server is lagging in the server logfiles. It sounds stupid, but CTRL+F'ing "/laggy" is a lot easier than crawling through chat messages of "lag" etc.
We have to type "/laggy" in the main chat ?
Like T > /laagy or T > (space) /laggy.
