I was wondering if it would be at all possible to have a feature for clubs that enable certain people to drive club vehicles... or be able to set certain vehicles to only be driven by permissions granted by the owners. I know it may not make much sense, and would probably delete the purpose of buying a vehicle for a club. But if there's certain people that you don't want driving the vehicle, but they're active members in the club, be able to allow/deny them from driving it. Certain vehicles that I own have passwords on them, too. So before someone says "Just set a password," It's done. But I'm not sure if it's a bug or not.
If not, no need for rash remarks comments. Just simply lock/close the topic.
Thanks!
Why not just share a password with the people that are allowed to drive the vehicle?
It's possible but I don't think it's needed as a club vehicle is for club members.

^ that
It's a club vehicle even if it has a password members of the club can still drive it, he doesn't want people joy riding in his vehicles thus he's suggesting a password that only some club members will have so not everyone can joy ride in the vehicle
I buy a vehicle from club funds thus its a car everyone can drive but I set a password on it and tell (the leaders) only, then noone else in the club (should) be able to use it since its now password protected
This wouldn't work and could be considered scamming. A player donates a large sum of money, someone uses the clubs funds to buy the car and then that person that donated that large sum is in the list of not allowed to drive. Which is not right so -1 from me :dislike:
You buy club vehicles so everyone can use it.
Now u want to buy club vehicles just for few club members ?
I think buying vehicle yourself and telling pass to your friends will work.
I kinda like your idea. It sucks when u take your shared car/vehicle to a carshow and some player take the car and go away....
But having this would be unfair to club members too ( who are willing to use club vehicles in a proper manner )

The way we run our club (San Andreas Fire Department) we have assigned jobs i.e drivers they drive the engines to the scene in real life they're specially trained to do so and we don't want regular members (firefighters) to drive them or to just take them for a joy ride so there should be a way we can add ranks and give them special powers like driving the trucks while regular members can't do so

Yeah. thats pain in the ass.....
Something like /lock command would be helpful. u could lock your car when u dont want to let others use your car or when u r at carshow or doing something...
Maybe something like, minimum rank to be able to drive club vehicles? In the club settings.
So you can set if you need to be regular player/staff/leader to drive club vehicles :)

But what if a regular member donates 500k, someone buys an infernus for the club with that money, but only leaders/founder can drive?

Well the owner of the vehicle obviously has permission which cant be changed?
I don't see how this can be fair.
Imagine if Sandman donates 500k for an infernus. He then buys it. Or i do, and restrict his access to it.
So:
Sandman donates 500k
I buy infernus with 500k he donated
restrict his acess.
This would cause too much scamming.
Some thing to counteract that, maybe that in the general club rules, (not for the individual club), they any money they donate may be used for club vehicles that they could be restricted access to?
It is the only way i could think to fix that.
Tis a nice idea. But i feel it'd be abused way too much. I don't want to add something that'd give admins more work. Feel free to come up with various suggestions for it :) il leave it open
