Title: artict1 long(v2) by nyolc8

artict1 v2 - some modifications since v1:

-longer (wheels moved backward too, collision modified too)
-made the side shape cleaner (less poligons)
-rearranged rear bumper area
-double-bar side bumpers, spare wheels behind side bumpers
-every wheel got it's own fender now
-re-uvmapped extras (ads) textures
-fixed a bug: artict1 looked like artict3 when you looked to it from far (LOD)
-useless (not visible) poligons removed
-ads/no_ads versions

headlight can't be removed... if I remove the headlight dummy then the game puts the headlight into the center of mass position. For me the stock gta sa trailers are highlighting the truck too.

okay, I tested in game, went to multiple truckparks, and found only one trailer that had it's rear part slightly in the wall. I attached a truck to it and pulled it from there without any jumping or anything. If someone find a trailer that stucked into a wall, please report and show it here.

What is this for shit Cry_lue, you should keep your attention to drive on the road and not hit the wall. These things makes me crazy as moderator, everytime those crashes of people who cant even drive on a 2 lanes road.

But at all, this also happen on the standard SA trailers when you hit the wall. Its not mod related.

I don't know why it would go into the wall while the original not, I just checked, it's have untouched collision in the first half. Are you sure the original trailers doesn't behave like this?

As you can see, the front is pretty much the same... so I don't know why it would behave differently on the front.

Yes there will be multiple axle variations. Also I'll test to see if it can be used for artict1-2-3 too, but I mainly do this to artict3.

I'm thinking some kind of car transportation version too, but that needs to modify the whole trailer structure, so I'll look into how I can make the trailer change it's whole shape as extras.

You could just use your edited artic trailer, remove the box and transform it into a timber trailer.

I know this will be a big bump, but I just want you to know that I started to work on the multi-object platform (cars, logs, empty platform, empty car platform, pipe, maybe some other thing) trailer again :)
But I won't work fast on it because I still have many school things, also I literaly forgot modeling lol so I'm working really slow now.

Edit: first ingame test (note, this is just one trailer + some part are dark because the shadow model still the old big container one so it darkens the whole trailer + extra textures are not applied yet)

Today I worked again on this long trailer with the different extras and I got an issue which is kinda weird. In zmodeler, every material appearing nicely on the cars extra part. But in the game it's all gray and some elements have weird specular lighting bug. Is there a limit in the game for material number on an "extra" part?

Notice for example how the caprice gets the dirt texture but not the yellow material color... It's totally bugged. I don't getting what is the problem.

(also it doesn't fit under that bridge which is strange because I didn't touched the original collision height. That's the other problem I don't know what causing it.)

edit: Ok so now I have colour cars (only 1 uv channel was set up, just needed to set it to 2) but still have a lot of graphical problems, for example, the car colors getting inverted if I see to them in a specific camera angle in the game... lol o_O

When I done, I'll release an artic3.dff and an artic1.dff and these all(12 trailer) will be all in that 2 file. I think they will be compatible with dumper trailer too so you can just rename them and use as dumper if you want.

If you mean the light on the ground, it's imvehft (improved vehicle features)

The small yellow lights are working without any mod. I simply made the model like that.

I just managed to "fix" the legs of the trailer. So basically it's done, just some tiny things left, and I'll test them to see if I found any bugs.

Can I make a suggestion for the bulldozer? Instead of "Rodeo" could it have the DUDE logo like the Dumper and Dozer have on them? Or is "Rodeo" something to do with CT?  ^-^

My first idea was the dude logo, but I wanted to reduce the amount of textures so I used the artic trailer logos texture and cropped the "rodeo" from that. I'll look into this, maybe I can combine some textures into one and bring the dude logo there.

For the empty trailer platform: It's simply can't done because that's how the game works. Sometimes it doesn't applies any "extra" to the vehicle. I can't do anything about that. If you referring to the empty flat trailer extra, I thinking about that too to put something on that...

Well I made a little testing and it looks like you can just rename them and use it on other trailer as well. The download will contain both artic1(6 variation) and artic3(6 variation) files, if you want all the 12(14 if I count the empty states) variation then you have to replace two trailers. Maybe it would work on dumper trailer too.

Anyone have idea what should be the LOD to these? There can be only one LOD model (the model you see from far distance) but the trailer can be multiple things... So I have a problem here :D (I'm thinking to make the LOD simply to represent the empty state)

The trailer still vibrates sideways sometimes(yes, just sometimes), and I still don't know why. I tried to remove an axle, checked all dummies, all parts, everything placed exactly where the original trailer was... (of course the axles are not)

edit: just noticed that the long version of my artic1 (the previous that I released) does the same, it vibrates on accelerating. So I'll just leave it as it. I can't do anything with it... It looks like if I make it longer, it starts to vibrate :| xd

For the empty trailer platform: It's simply can't done because that's how the game works. Sometimes it doesn't applies any "extra" to the vehicle. I can't do anything about that. If you referring to the empty flat trailer extra, I thinking about that too to put something on that...

Then, my suggestion is that artict1 and artict3 trailers without extra parts is not the same. Made one look like flat platform: http://i.imgur.com/J1rrmGp.jpg, and another like car platform: http://i.imgur.com/SV5xqYM.jpg and that every extra have something added to trailer.
Are you make that one trailer (example artict1) have 2 axles and flat platform, and another trailer have 3 axles and car platform or platforms are mixed?

Personally, i dont like seeing empty flat trailers but I think it will be only solution here. Or maybe put few "boxes" on platform, just to look like its carrying something but you cant see what until get closer. I agree that will look weird when you first saw few boxes (LOD) and afterwards you see big excavator or trailer full of trees.


For next project, you can edit liquid trailer to have extras like this one has - empty cistern platform, and six different types of cistern on trailer.

Well that's a good idea, I checked and I only need to modify the "glass" extra to make artic1 to look platform trailer when empty. But then I need one more extra to do because the platform trailer is an extra right now. So I'll make another extra then.

I'm making artic3 to 3 axle with heavy things, and artic1 with 2 axle for not so heavy things.

do you reckon one day you'll remake other emergency vehicles like the Firetruck and Ambulance? Your police cars were awesome, I'd bet you could do an even better job on the other emergency vehicles.  :))

I just saw that imvehft updated and now have extra emergency lights function too (and license plate lightning), but the license plate lightning is so bad looking, I'll wait until it gets an option to disable that. And after that, I'll make emergency vehicles (someday) with that imvehft compatibility.

I made it filled up with crates. Today I'll test the trailers again just to make sure there are no more problems, and I release it.
