GTA:SA lags like hell on my gaming PC. I get 10-60 FPS with constant drops. That's at a resolution of 1280X1024. The same PC can run BattleField 3 at 45-60 FPS on ultra @ 1080P (which looks beautiful).
GTA:SA runs fine on my laptop. I get ~45 FPS on high. No lag at all.
Gaming PC Specs:
3.5 GHz 6 core AMD FX-6300 CPU
Nvidia GTX 650 1GB
8GB DDR3 RAM
Laptop Specs:
Intel Celeron 2.20GHz dual core
Intel 3000 integrated HD Graphics
8GB DDR3 RAM
My question is, why the hell does my laptop run GTA:SA better than my gaming PC? :like:
Same OS on each one? my old Windows XP runs SA better than Windows 7

That, is San Andreas isn't a PC friendly game. I can run ETS2 with smoother frames than SAMP sometimes.

I've turned FPS limiter on and off, no difference. I use a streamfix.

Have both since always
My pc runs samp on 100fps with no fps drops (only sometimes when i enter an area with a lot o vehicles to load) but i prefer playing with fpslimit set at 30. Acceleration is much better then :like:
how big is your gta3.img? if you use 1.5 mod installer import remove if exsists is bugged and overlaps the old mod, making the size continuously grow. (Install a 4mb mod over top of a 1mb mod = +4mb = total 5mb rather than -1 +4. or, your directory might fuck it up. (x86) program files is screwy. put it in documents or desktop or something. mvoe the entire directory. um, delete gta_set in gta san andreas user files, overclock if you're not scared but thats just masking a heavy resource thieving problem... get a new cracked exe, they can bug themselves with no interference sometimes because they're on crack. re install sa-mp again, blow up your computer and give up on samp as your final resort.
Found problem. When Google Chrome is open GTA:SA gets shitty fps with a lot of fps drops. When Chrome is not open, GTA:SA is fine.
This only happens with San Andreas. Every other game is fine ._.

For me, 1 tab of Chrome == 5 processes open.
