Title: My GTA SA doesn't want to open
Post by: Polaco on November 16, 2013, 01:28
Well, I was having some freezes on this shit...tried to do a lot of things, and one of them was to put it as Administrator mode and compatibility with Windows XP (SP3)
After did it,GTA doesn't start, ok, I back to original settings, disabled the Administrator mode and compatibility mode...but now i got a warning message when i try to start GTA:

CLEO warning

"Could not initialize BASS sound system"

Well, i don't know why it happens, cause i didn't changed anything on configuration, on mods or whatever
And after close this message, my GTA just doesn't start.
Anyone know why it happens, and know how to fix it?

Except it, I didn't changed anything on my mods, or on config...there's no reason to this error appears from my Mods or config

You have an AMD graphics card? Remove the sound drivers for it.

Yes,AMD
What do you mean with remove sound drivers? All sound drivers, or just for GTA?

AMD graphics cards come with sound drivers or something, for if you use HDMI on your graphics card i believe, as i had the same problem on my 4350. (Never again...)
Thats why you see:
15/11/2013 23:44:59.616 On system found 5 devices, 5 enabled devices, assuming device to use: 1 (1 - M2250D (AMD High Definition Audio Device))

Just go to the AMD website, download your graphoics drivers, when it asks sinple or custom install, choose custom, and only choose display drivers. (Thats how it is on Nvidia anyway), i can teamviewer and help you if you need.

Thanks Sandman, you gave me an idea:
First i've uninstalled Audio Drivers, then re-installed from MotherBoard CD
And nothing changed, so
I clicked on Volume icon at windows bar, and opened Playback Devices, and changed the device from 2nd to 1st in list, and yeah, the problem is solved
Thanks Dobby and Sandman for help! Cookie for ya (both)
