This pack is recommended for these guys who always wanted better graphics for you GTA without using a ENB Series, well, I have it, and this pack add the sunlight in samp without loosing much FPS (well, except when you are in place full of trees xD)

I think it looks more real now from a plane
and I noticed that the modified models (the files which are need to replaced in gta3.img) are buggy, the billboard lights are visible from below too. And the airport bollard lights have a strange red light much above the ground when looking them from far distance. I'll try to fix those. - edit: the billboard model doesn't get modified so the script makes it buggy

Just open the 2dfx.ini file and change the "CoronaRadiusMultiplier = 1.0" to lower. I set it to "0.3".
With this you can set the light corona sizes.
Smaller number = smaller corona size.

edit: if someone doesn't like the red floating lights at LS airport:
open LS.txt and comment out the lines which are begin with "3666,"
Use # to comment out each line (or you can delete the lines if you want)
Example:
change
"3666, dummy, 256, 1620.35938, -2476.85156, 12.96875, 0.00000, 0.00000, 0.00000, 1.00000, -1"
to
"#3666, dummy, 256, 1620.35938, -2476.85156, 12.96875, 0.00000, 0.00000, 0.00000, 1.00000, -1"

If someone don't like the floating red lights at LS airport, and you don't have to remove them, you can lower them by modifying LS.txt:
find all lines which starting with "3666" and change the "12.96875" value in each line with "9.00000"
By doing this you lowering the red lights close to the ground. :)

Would this work with SRT3? Or would it get opcodes? I got 2GB streamfix.
I don't know, try it, but I don't think it would cause opcodes.
I'm testing to tweak the limit_adjuster values to lower because it makes the game lagg at some places. I'm trying to achive lagg-free game without holes on the map.
Going to try it when i get a new pc and i install a new GTA again.

No FPS drop, but it's requires faster HDD and more RAM. With 4GB RAM I had loading-laggs many times. Between these loading-laggs, it was butter smooth. But I removed it because of these loading-laggs, it's made for better PCs with more RAM. ::)

I actually found out that you can lower almost every value in the limit adjuster, only two values need to be bigger than the default game values. One for the map holes (buildings), and one for the far away light effect (dummys). So I'll continue to test it and maybe I can find a nice setting to keep the load lagging down. :)

After ~40 gtasa restarting, it looks like limit_adjuster asi plugin doesn't need to fix holes in map. The IDE_DD_tweaker does the job, just need to set patch_LOD, and refine the value of it to match your timecyc farclp values.
I combined the SF.txt, LV.txt, LS.txt, CS.txt into just one LS.txt file because sometimes only LS had the far view light effect. (so sometimes only the LS.txt file got loaded up)

Btw I'll make the far lights for WC and for MC (and for valley), if someone want to help me in the light coordinates collecting, then write here or in PM. (we have to collect them manually by going under or next to each light source)

Is this possible to remove the far objects? I only want the lights, but these objects = 20 fps loss..

Maybe, but i think you need ide_dd_tweaker to get the lights... try to set lower values and multipliers in ide_dd_tweaker.ini

I will tell you what I could see after I installed this.
"Bad" points:
1. FPS Lowered a bit, I have an AMD HD6870, 4GB RAM and an Intel Core i7 2600k and It lags a little.
2. Some lights are "flying".
3. I have a bug on Fir Island with it, where you unload after robbing houses.
4. Effects are gone, I can't see nitrous effect, fire, smoke, pee and some other.
Good points:
1. Awesome quality, I can see far distances very clear.
2. OMG, Perfect rain, I love it.
3. Water reflection on ground
4. Better enviroment, very good.
And, road textures are just perfect, no opcodes or any loss of FPS, just awesome!
I had to reinstall my game because of bug at Fir Island, And I am robbing houses so I could not go there with this mod installed. I just installed road textures.

the most annoying bug for me in this graphics are the effects, the cause of it is the imfx (new sunlight effect) btw nyolc8, can you make a pack with all your changes please?
I will, but I want to add WC and MC light coordinates to this light effect. I don't know if this will cause performance loss or not. And I have a strange problem, sometimes the game don't want to start up. I want to figure out what causing it exactly, maybe one of my modifications.

I will, but I want to make the other CT mappings as well (MC, sandus, valley). Also someone asked for all my modification I did on these mods, so I thought I share them at the same time.
btw I anyone have strange gta sa starting up problems with these mods? sometimes my game won't start up. It's totally random.

To be honest, that distance of the lights is damn awesome. I mean seeing lights of L'isle de hax from ls is damn nice. If this server returns to Convoytrucking as it used to be I will redownload gta & install this mod. :like:

is the far away lights mod available by itself or do you need other files with it.. I would love to be able to use and see how it looks on my computer
The "Project 2dfx" mod (this is the name of the light mod) needs "IDE_DD_tweaker.asi" to get it work. And you can try to disable all patching in the "IDE_DD_tweaker.ini" if you don't want draw distance changes.

Well, I had a crash too when I flew with at400 and landed on SF... but then next time it didn't crash when I landed there. The creator of this mod said (two weeks ago) he will make a new version of this mod soon... maybe he will fix some of the bugs. Btw crashes related to IDE_DD_tweaker.asi as I read... so try to tweak it's settings in the IDE_DD_tweaker.ini.
For me, with 2dfx.asi installed, the game sometimes refusing to start properly... sometimes gta_sa.exe process starts, but nothing happens, and it's only visible in task manager and it uses only 20MB ram but 100%CPU... So it's not the most stable mod...
but one other problem I had with the mod is that if you replace the lamp posts like they suggest in the readme, and you go around and drive, check them all out, they are raised from original place... the coordinates are all out of place.. see pics

I already have src folder in GTA SA directory and this mod also have src folder ::) so what to do?
You just need to place the asi file from the rel folder into the game root folder
also you can add
sprites 128
into your stream.ini file. This tells how much sprites can be drawn or something like that... (sprites are the textures that always rotating for the camera view point)

That's strange, I installed it too when I found it (to avoid any future problems), and it works fine for me.
(Can someone tell me how is my game loading asi files with all the original vorbis dlls? Basically now I don't know what is loading asi scripts into my game lol)

Still doesn't work, and yes I have a timecyc, and if I remove that asi file it launches but completely freezes before log in to CT menu comes up, is there not a different solution?
If you use my exe, you need to have "VEHTXD2.txd" file in your "models/generic/" folder. Do you have that? If not, then go to "models/generic" folder, make a copy from the "vehicle.txd" file, and just rename that copy to "VEHTXD2.txd".
Project 2dfx (far lights mod) just updated to 1.3!!! Didn't tested it yet.

Who already using project 2dfx: I think only the 2dfx.asi file updated so just replace that file.

If you use cleo, then you get that error. I didn't have it and that's why it worked. I installed cleo (to try snowfx) and got this error too.
Very nice, I installed most of it (didn't install the Far away light bullshit cause it made me lag) Everything else looks Amazing! Nice find Nado!
