Title: Help: handling.cfg, carcols.dat and vehicles.ide
Post by: Mamut on October 29, 2013, 01:19
I downloaded a mod of a truck, and the readme.txt file says I need to change some settings in the archives: handling.cfg, carcols.dat and vehicles.ide.

I wonder if this is allowed here on the server, do not quite understand ... thank you

No, its not allowed to edit your handling files on this server. Just delete the readme file while installing your mod and it will not edit your handling.

I understand. Thanks... It seems that he asks to change so that the truck gets better driving, cornering, and not tip ... can anyone help me about it tipping over too?

Changing the original handling file will only affect the single player. You need a hacked gta_sa.exe and a file called handling.two to edit the SA-MP handling.

How to resolve issues in which the truck is very tumbling? he skids on curves, I've lowered the collision in ZModeler, lowered the height of it, but to no avail ...

Someone who knows this problem can help me? I am grateful ...

It's the model itself, it has a high center of gravity so it will tip, only way to fix it is either shorten then top of the vehicle model or get a new mod.

And I wouldn't suggest lowerin the collision, if it means what I think it means, when you flip and /fix and flip back over, the truck will be in the ground

Hello guys.

I still have the same problems with the mods Brazilians. Trucks topple easily. They do not have a good stability. In the package I downloaded, it suggests to me modify the files I mentioned this topic. I will attach a video with the problem, and the lines they ask me to change. I would explain what would change, and where you can not change. Which violates the rules of the server. Thank you very much!

Stability many times isn't related with handling.Sometimes you need to modify colision, wheels (dumies) and etc to get a better stability. The problem is cause you can adjust it adding a special handling, but not in SA:MP,cause SA:MP locks the original .dat and .cfg files, prohibiting the edition of them. So,YOU CAN'T CHANGE ANY LINE AND MAKE IT WORK IN SAMP,EVEN COLORS,HANDLING OR .IDE.If you have problems with stability of any vehicle, you need try fix it by ZModeler, and at few mods it doesn't help a lot,so,you need use it how it is.Yes sir,it's a pain in the ass,but it's all we have to play with.
