Post by: Antangin_JRG on April 18, 2013, 14:51
anybody can help me?
can i charge 18x6v battery (max 30A charge rate) with 1x12v battery charger (30A)
so there will be 9 sets of 2 bank series, and the series sets will be paralled for charging...
is it possible?
thank you...

To my understanding, no you need yourself a 6volt charger that can handle that amperage load. It's been forever since I've done eletronics, but i do remember that 6 volt batteries don't like being pumped with 12 volts

Hell i may even be talking out my ass here.

and well... if i continue, will it take forever to charge 18 banks from a single charger?

Cant tell for sure really... only way to find out is trial and error, Put um together temporary, and charge um up with the 6V see how long it takes and how hot the charger gets, and if it gets too hot kill it, you need a more powerful charger.
