Title: Change of forum host
Post by: Gameboy on October 01, 2012, 09:47
I Think Maybe We Can change to host of forum i know it's now by Volt-Host but maybe when it's somewhere else we get a faster site.

I thoroughly agree with this suggestion. All I've been having the last 3-4 weeks is problems with Volt's AZ4 server, it works very intermittently, sometimes it goes off for hours at a time, when it does work it's slow as hell, and the worse part is: Volt said they are working on it, but it's been 2 weeks now and the same shit still happens.

I don't know why Volt-Host is so popular amongst the SA-MP community... cheap prices probably which causes overloading server nodes = overselling services.

I might be very wrong, but I have a feeling Mick is getting more donations than what he really needs. Sure, its fun for him earning some bucks on CVT, but I think we deserve a host upgrade, if the only reason he is using Volt-Host, is because its cheap.

If he can afford a better and little bit more expensive host using donations income, I wish he would do so..

Forum is hosted on one of Volt's AZ servers, in Phoenix

I live in Tucson, 100 mi away (160 km).

No change needed, forum is awesome for me, and thats all that matters.
