why am i having to sign in on fourm with myy old user name not my new one? old name NASH new name SlenderMan

Because the old username is your real username. SlenderMan is just the display username.

Reply here, and i can change your login name to the same as your display name. You login name is NASH, whereas your display name is Slenderman.
