I remember awhile ago Hax did something like this, and he had a form that we could request songs. It was pretty good :D

Also, if you could add a web interface for server to request songs, that would be neat. Players would be able to request songs in-game.

My scripting knowledge=HTML and very little PAWNO
Would I even need to script anything for this? Im sure there is a little PAWNO but Im not sure him much.

I can DJ if you would like Avery, and I know PHP and PAWN, so I can help with the web and IG request systems. All it would take is being able to enter user input into a MySQL database, and a webpage that JS refreshes that list every x seconds for new requests, with a tick bock when you have played them to purge them. Simple, 30 minutes.

One problem, how are we going to authenticate genuine DJs? Share a password between you all?
And I don't really feel like making a user authentication system...
Quote from: $nake on May 21, 2012, 12:04If Mick would add those commands, why would he ask for a web interface for song requests?Quote from: Joshy on May 21, 2012, 11:371. Forum section for Radio DJs only, DJs cmds at server (about radio)

Quote from: mick88 on May 19, 2012, 15:28I've made a song request list for DJs to use. However instead of using web interface, it would be easier to create a table in the CT database and use that instead, maybe also host the request list on website?Quote from: wkry17 on May 19, 2012, 14:44

Quote from: mick88 on May 21, 2012, 14:5710-4 doing it now (using POST).
I asked for web interface, so server could send POST or GET query with player's request, that would automatically be parsed by radio.
I would then add song requests in /phone, so players would pay $1k to request a song (so they don't spam).

Quote from: Yuri on May 21, 2012, 23:22I have SAM B'ster too :D it's a nice tool for radio but encodes max 96kbps :/
I own a shoutcast Server. But it would require each and every member to get Sam Broadcaster or Virtual DJ to do a live stream
My station is named Patriot Radio. I will not post any links currently due to lake of DJs at my station. But i do have a live Chat and the Station works fine. a Maximum of 50listeners can tune-in at the same time. It is only a small radio station but it could work.. We are hiring DJs currently.

Does that mean im gonna have a baby? :horror:

I am currently setting up an unofficial CVT radio. PM me if you would like to DJ for it. Maybe mick could add in that request system to the script and Joshy could add in the webpage and we can make this semi-official, but until that happens, its unofficial, ran by me, not mick.

Quote from: $nake on May 31, 2012, 22:20If you want a better stream rate, pay for it. No free host is going to give you 128kbps. And its on auto-dj, just playing random shit from my folder. When we actually get this set up, then Ill actually DJ.

Have different DJs that would play a unique genre of music (a few country, a few rock, etc.).

I dislike your idea, they should be able to play any song at any time otherwise it would be boring, same type of DJs for same timezone, means everyday same DJ for that timezone, so everyday same genre? = boring

Well if some DJs wanna play different genres thats fine. Maybe it should be up to the DJs what they wanna play. For example, Im not gonna play rap/R&B/Dubstep, but other DJs might. While we are not live, we will have all genres playing.

just dwonload all the songs you like and put it on iTunes, before you start play SAMP play it. SO while your are playing you can listen to your own music and not the radio channel.
