Title: Something new players should know...
Post by: Joshly98 on April 20, 2012, 22:14
Convoy Trucking DOES NOT support Sobiet in any way! I have seen too many ban appeals saying "I didn't mean to speed hack. I accideltally pressed the wrong button, and it activated Sobiet" (or along those lines.) You will be banned for having Sobiet installed (admins, is this correct?) and if you post a ban appeal stating that you did have Sobiet installed, you won't be un-banned.

Just thought I would let new players know.

Cheating is not allowed in any manner and if we catch anyone with any thing that gives them an advantage then the player will be banned.

some mods are extremely hard to see i.e. like anti-fall of bike, or Keep trailers attached, and weather changes (weather is client side, so some people would do this) But eventually we will see people using it. having it installed is not going to get you banned alone, using it on this server will.

Rules don't specifically say "no s0beit" they do say however no cheating, which is the only reason you'd have s0beit.

Using it = ban

Having it = how can we prove?

Ahem, if they don't read the rules, what are the chances of them reading something that's not stickied in a 'unimportant' part of the forum? Nil I say.

Unfortunately many players on the server won't see this and it's not going to help a lot. They come to the server, see a rule box show up and just click through it without reading it because they don't care or think all servers have the same rules. If there was a way to detect s0beit, that would be nice, until then, it's basically a waste of time to post this. Besides, let them hack, they'll just be caught faster ;)

s0beit comes with configuration system.
You can change controls+ disable its features according to your use and server rules.

However I DO NOT recommend this, because then you need to know what you are doing.

having it installed will create a risk that's way to high to risk on a server you enjoy almost every day.

People with it are bound to accidently use it in some manner and therefore that would get them in trouble.
