Title: What Video Card Should I Choose
Post by: Antangin_JRG on March 18, 2012, 08:10
I'm planning to build a gaming computer, i've decided the processor and mother board, but i'm still looking for the video cards.

I like playing games like GTA-SA, CBS 2010, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Just Cause, and PES 2012.

I'm comparing these two Video Cards: Nvidia GTX460 and Nvidia GTX550Ti

What Video Card do you think should i choose...

Nvidia GTX550Ti(Pre-Overclocked)
Spec: Graphic Interface   PCI-e x16 2.0
Graphic Chipset   GeForce GTX 550Ti
Engine Clock Speed   1000 MHz
Memory Provided   1GB DDR5
Memory Bus   192-bit
Memory Clock Speed   4800 MHz

Or, Nvidia GTX460(NON-Overclock)
Graphic Interface   PCI-e 16x 2.0
Graphic Chipset   GeForce GTX 460
Engine Clock Speed   675 MHz
Memory Provided   1GB GDDR5
Memory Bus   256-bit
Memory Clock Speed   3600 MHz
Display Output   Mini HDMI + Dual DVI-I

Kepler (geforce 600 series) comes out March 22nd (4 days). I would advise you to wait for kepler to come out, and then see the benchmarks between the radeon 7000 cards and the geforce 600 cards.

It all depends on what system specs you have. Please post them.

I've decide the processor, it's intel core i7 2600k
but for the motherboard i'm still comparing Asus P8z68 with SSD Caching and
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z without SSD Caching, btw did SSD Caching really work?

For The Rest
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 PC-12800 (2x)
PSU: Corsair CX500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
SSD: Kingston SSDNOW V Series 30GB
Case: Corsair Mid Tower Carbide 400R
Optical Drive: LITE-ON DVD-BLURAY Writer
