Updated (well... re-written) camera thingy is on our experimental build server right now which is available to dev team. I will find out what Mick thinks of the experimental streamer and then decide whether I port the new camera script on its own or with the streamer (it uses the streamer atm, no opcodes.)

I feel like a lot of people will appreciate the ability to skip the animation though, plus it's a bit quicker than before and can look a bit better (sometimes the camera will rotate to face the destination coords, like the front door of your house, but due to SA bugs it won't do it all the time). But if you really want to disable it you can.

I've added the on/off switch since the video, but I can't be arsed uploading a new one just to show you it works

Fully disabled option, and truck loads have nothing to do with it.. Should be available to everyone

"Full" - Zoom out, transition, zoom in
"Partial" - Zoom out, no transition, zoom in
"None" - Old way.

That sound good?
I wouldn't mind if "partial" or any more option there as long as there is the "none" option.

I dont think anyone will use partial, so just full/none would do it imo.
You're just one person. 1% != 100%

I have it disabled but it would be nice if that would fully disable it. It was cool at start but not anymore...

Let's just do this, delete comment out the lines in the script that have the anim in it and push that to the server. It solves all of our problems
FTFY.

Im sure i also made a topic in staff section to make a disable function...

AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

Quote from: mick88 on January 09, 2014, 13:24I added option to disable the animation, that means that with setting disabled, camera will still zoom out, but instead of moving to new location, it will wait a few seconds and then cut and zoom in.

So... what the fuck is going on here? Add more roadworks please we need it, it let us enjoy the server more and more!

This topic is about fully disable the whole camera thing (zoom too), not just the "traveling".

I don't get the "no, I love it" guys... It would be an option to turn it off, not the whole thing would be removed for everyone.

And yes, it's rather pointless for people who plays day by day.

Voted yes, It was nice and cool before but now it is no more exiciting. It is slow and takes time.

Honestly. I hate it, just about every other irritation such as MMB and Y keys and submission keys are toggleably. Why not this one?
So why you cannot disable the camera that moves from your last location to your new location. Sure its fancy but its just waste of time when you want to get something done quick
