Hobo can confirm since hes got it already it seems, but you can choose between a fresh install (loose everything) or one where you can retain files (documents, videos, pictures).
When Windows tells you the update to 10 is available (or you force it to be available), just go through the steps to complete it. There's no data or settings loss. The only thing I had to reinstall were graphic drivers for Nvidia.

guiltygearz and it was legit, so now I have to get keys for my other computers lol

I have a legit copy of windows 7 (remember I had to reinstall it building my computer), the icon doesnt show up and I cant get that link to download that windows 10 .bat thing from cnet, keeps coming up as an error.. other places ive read that its in SP1, but again it doesnt show up. I want to reserve my copy so that when I need to use it, I can, down the road)

With win8 I didnt have this issue... Any way to fix this?

For me, I put my laptop into hibernate, and then I woke it back up. For whatever reason, this fixed it for me.

For me, I put my laptop into hibernate, and then I woke it back up. For whatever reason, this fixed it for me.
Settings, System, Power & Sleep, Additional Power Settings (at bottom, small text link), try choosing a power plan.

or you use this command in powershell to remove EVERY app, this also removes the windows store, use on your own risk. I haven't had any problems yet.
