I totally recreated the front grill area, modified many elements (cabin shape, front shape, the whole front is more wider, etc)
It's based on M939 truck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M939_Truck), because gta wiki says it's the base for the original model (http://gta.wikia.com/Flatbed).
(I always make my mods from gta wiki references.)

That's awesome :OK:
my flatbed mod is a box truck, and I like it so ill stick with it.... but good luck with this
And there it is (in progress) :D
"Little" modified the front:

Awesome Flatbed :D
Looks great! 8)
The bonnet opening is wonderful, can't wait to test it
lol you can't stop editing original SA vehicle, this truck is awesome, keep the good job
edit your backwheels. Looks like they go a bit in the ground
Very Nice :D
make it converted in the back :)
I have an idea for you. I edited a dumper trailer once by adding 5 extra materials in the back. Sometimes it would be empty, sometimes it would be full of gravel, sometimes it would be full of coal, etc. I think I also made a canvas cover as an extra on it. Just a suggestion :D

that would be cool, but Flatbed has artict loads, so what about some boxes, pipes, materials and etc? :P
Created air infold system, created exhaust, tanks are black, basically the front of the vehicle is done, just some small lights to be made.

Actually it's the trunk door lol. I couldn't make the bonnet to open reverse. I modified the collision to damage the trunk door at front so the trunk (boot) door works as bonnet.

I didn't touched the rear wheels yet, so they are original. (they only thinner) But I'll make double rear wheels.

I thinking of this too, and I thought I could make the rear enterable. But then I would have problems with the collision when there are objects on the rear. (they would be "ghost" non collidable objects then) So I don't know what to do with this yet.
Nice, remember to change the wheels 8)
You know I'll make own wheels, like always :D
Wow :D

exactly.. make a dft type version (a true 'flatbed') with it, and then make a yankee type version.. there you go nado
- smooth shading bonnet (on some pictures there is a shade bug but it's fixed already)
- ownmade wheels (double at rear, secondary color colorizes them)
- modified extras, modified collision to be able to get onto the rear
- made own tilt top for one extra (colorized with secondary color too)
- added some other elements
- rear lights, rear bumper recreated
- added some indicator lights
[imgur]http://imgur.com/a/OBPdE#0[/imgur]
to do: some test, some refining, damaged elements, refine shadow model, modify LOD model, and it's done :)

That will be the barracks mod... ;D
Awesome, can't wait to use it!
Me want :D
Sexy i cant wait to use Barrkas & Flatbed :) :PFFFTCCHCHCHHFFFTTT:
I done the shadow and LOD model, made the damaged bonnet, just need to make damaged bumpers, doors and then the flatbed is done. :) I'll check the barracks model to see if they have the same model positions or not. If they have the same positions, I'll make barracks mod too and then release these two vehicle in one pack. Then I may look into that boxed, one rear axle flatbed version ;)
edit: damaged bumpers, damaged doors done, but it have some bugs that need to be fixed, If I'll have time, flatbed maybe finished tomorrow.

You could add more details, like a new interior, chrom pipe, chrom tanks and reflection on paint

I just don't see interior that important, I don't want to turn this into a high poly model. If you search for m939 on the net, you can see that there is no chrome on any of this trucks. This is an industrial vehicle, no chrome needed :P Reflection on paint? Isn't enb for that(too)?

So the barracks mod will look like this:
[imgur]http://imgur.com/a/CVVnO#0[/imgur]

wow. Really cool :)
That Barracks looks really nice, I like the Army text, good detail :)
Cant wait for it :D
Barracks:
[imgur]http://imgur.com/a/4OgVU#0[/imgur]
- left windshield openable (bonnet/hood)
- added some details to the front
- removed the whole top section (window and borders) of the doors
- finished/fixed some bugs
Flatbed & Barracks:
[imgur]http://imgur.com/a/0vpZR#0[/imgur]
